  • All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Avoiding Fees

Monthly Fees

I wasn’t able to find out if there is any monthly fee

Early Account Termination Fee

Unsure if there is any early account termination fee or not

Our Verdict

Need to know if this is a hard or soft pull, you should be able to ask before opening the account given that this is available in branch only. We can’t add it to the best checking bonuses until we know more.

Oh nice. National City is just 20 minutes drive from where I live. I’ll be able to find out once I’m back in town on the weekday.

Need to maintain at least $500 balance in checking account to avoid $10 monthly fees. There is $20 fee if debit card is deactivated within 180 days.

I opened an account today. Soft pull, no CC funding, DD of any amount, once within 60 days, 5 debit card purchases within 60 days. Must email them to remind them about the $50 for DD. Must open membership (savings account), in addition to checking. No specified minimum deposit. I did $25/$75 as I’ll be making the five purchase.
