• Open a new KEMBA Financial Credit Union checking account and get a bonus of $250 when meet the requirements to be a KEMBA advantage member:
  • An active KEMBA checking account with at least 15 qualifying transactions per month. Qualifying transactions are:
    • Bill payment
    • Cleared check
    • Virtual Deposit
    • Debit Card transaction
    • Automatic deposit or withdrawal
    • Electronic loan payment made from your KEMBA checking account
  • Direct Deposit of your entire payroll, Social Security, or pension check to KEMBA
  • Be enrolled in eStatements

The Fine Print

• For $250 reward you must be a KEMBA Advantage member within 90 days of account opening.
• Reward will be deposited into your KEMBA savings account once Advantage requirements have been met.
• Offer available to KEMBA members who do not currently have a KEMBA checking account and have not closed a KEMBA checking account within the last 60 days.
• Offer not valid on existing KEMBA checking accounts or with any other special offers.
• One new member coupon per household.
• Coupons are non-transferable.

Avoiding Fees

When you’re KEMBA advantage member the hassle free account has no monthly fees, unsure if there is any early account termination fee as I was unable to find the fee schdule

Our Verdict

Keep in mind that this says it’s for KEMBA members who do not currently have a KEMBA checking account and also that coupons are non-transferable, this leads me to believe this is supposed to be targeted. YMMV if it’s enforced, it seems like signing up requires calling in anyway. If it’s a soft pull and not targeted then it seems like a good deal.
