How One Reader Got The 100,000 Point Offer On The Chase Ink Preferred

Chase currently has two increased business credit card offers in the branch:

The problem with both of these offers is that they are supposed to be for business managed clients. To be considered a business managed client, you need to have an assigned Business Relationship Manager (I believe this requires business revenue of at least $500,000, but possibly six figures is required).

Unfortunately this means most readers won’t be eligible but reader A B found a work around. It seems the bonus works in two ways:

  • If you’re a business managed client you can sign up through any banker and receive the bonus as your account is tagged as BMC.
  • If you apply through a Business Relationship Manager you’ll get the increased bonuses even if you’re not a business managed client as it has them as the one originating the application.

Business Relationship Managers have that title on their business card, not every branch has one of these managers but you might be able to call ahead to make an appointment with one. As you can see from the disclosure below, reader A B was able to successfully get the bonus attached to their account by doing this. As always, your mileage may vary.

Keep in mind these cards are subject to the Chase 5/24 rule. If you’re thinking about applying, make sure you read through these things you should know about Chase first. Also remember the annual fee on this card is no longer waived in the branch.

Chase Private Client customers can also get a 60,000 point offer on the Chase Sapphire Reserve (everybody else is limited to 50,000 now).
