Imagine your real estate agent taking 5% commission on your home purchase/sale, every year you live there.

That choice promo would be just wonderful…… any other year. (Any other year, they’d at least mention the bit about hurricanes and such during most of the promo time frame….. This year, there’s storms of a different sort…. ) So odd that MtM doesn’t even mention “that,” just a “great timing” whoop! Polyanesia. 😉

Seems like a Trillion dollar fine levied against each Google and Apple for Monopolistic behavior -FFS a 30% cut of app gross store revenue (not profits) is just pure greed. Since both pay so little in corporate income taxes…..

Imagine building a platform to sell products and then getting sued for taking too large of a cut. It’d be like suing Ferrari for not selling cars cheaper

Imagine building railroad/steel/beef/phone/aluminum infrastructure to sell widgets and getting sued for being too good at it.

*shrug* they’ll probably get EPIC to drop the suit by giving them great future terms and refunds, which will be undisclosed.

Or maybe EPIC will see it to the end. It would be nice to see more Peter Thiel/Gawker style ‘scorched earth on principal’ lawsuits.

30% is industry standard, sue all of them.

Sure. Move away from app store and host your own website and market your apps with Google Ad-sense. I’m sure you’d have to spend a lot more than 30% to get traffic and convince people to download install and not worry about security.

Imagine Microsoft taking a 30% cut on all transactions done using a windows PC. This is anti-competitive behavior and bad for the customer.
