Here are some of the most popular posts from yesterday:
Google Fi is awful to deal with. Have chat transcripts (even more than one) in which their reps confirmed you were eligible for a promo and even indicated in which statement the credits would begin appearing? Too bad! They’ll deny you anyway.
Try to contact them by email and keep the email as the proof
Definitely only use their phone customer service. They are competent. The chat and email customer service representatives are the worst I’ve dealt with. Things get resolved quickly on the phone with them.
My promo was denied and google is refusing to honor it even though I have sent them proof of ownership of the ported number since at least 2011. They havent responded to me for about a week now and I am reaching out again but no longer optimistic. I am considering doing a return protection claim though amex for this however I have heard that google can blacklist you for that kind of thing.
AFAIK, the merchant wouldn’t even know if you utilized a return protection program. The card issuer/their insurance would refund you. If they wanted the item back, you’d send it to the card issuer/their insurance.
Problem is the low cap on these benefits, often below $500 per transaction.
There are reports of people being denied gift cards due to ineligible number ported even though they were existing Fi customers. They have a systemic issue that’s not really related to the number that was actually ported.
