Lenovo Adware Settlement (https://www.doctorofcredit.com/lenovo-class-action-get-an-estimated-40-if-you-bought-a-lenovo-laptop-in-2014-2015/) has been paid as well in early Nov. Not sure if you have covered this.

$44 was paid through echeck.

So… was that the unsupported claim that many people lie on, or was that extra $4 the properly documented more-than-$40?

Canada doing FAAs job. London not renewing Uber’s license, again doing the american regulators job. This should push the companies to do better. Hope regulators here do it for us as well.

America will sell its soul for money.

Yeah I can’t believe the “American regulator” did ban Uber from London sooner. Unbelievable that we didn’t stop them from providing billions of dollars worth of subsidizes rides to people in a different country

Monthly uber credit just got devalued again with that move.

Ouch that’s going to impact übers revenues (for good or bad).

From a Slate article:

“Uber Reveals One of Its Big Vulnerabilities One-quarter of its business happens in just five cities”

“……About 24 percent of Uber’s bookings—all the money that customers pay through the app and in cash, including driver earnings—occur in just five cities: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, and São Paulo….”

It’s funny – how the environmental impact of ride sharing is convenientaly left out of the equation, as well as the additional congestion and fewer public transportation trips.

That’s not just “America” – that’s people you know. Organizations and governments are just people. Lots of people in lots of countries sell their soul for money. Just look at the TRANSPARENCY INTERNATIONAL corruption list.

Canadians sell their soul for money too…….it’s just PRIDE (Climbing social / economic ladder)…Canadians have a TON OF IT…putting all their flags on backpacks when travelling, etc…
