The GoT tv show has diverged from and surpassed (in timeline, not quality) the books since about season 4, so I don’t think there are any spoilers left.

I’m already invested though, so I’m going to watch of course.

*spoiler alert*
John, Dany, Cersei & the Night King decide to meet up at a diner. Cersei has trouble parking the car. Some strange looks are passed between members of the Night’s Watch at the counter. The Hound goes into the bathroom. John fiddles with the tabletop juke… oh those soulful Steve Perry lyrics… the door opens… CUT TO BLACK FOR 2 STRAIGHT MINUTES /scene

FYI DOC — California has a law that comes into effect in 2020 that will let consumers sue companies over data breaches. They are currently trying to expand the law to allow lawsuits over any data misuse. Depending on how that plays out, it could set the stage for a national law as well. Sure 2020 is a long way out but it’s a step in the direction of holding companies accountable.
