The Offer
Direct Link to offer (slightly better on MyPoints)
- Swagbucks is offering 5,000 SB ($50) when you complete your first purchase with Intego antivirus.
When purchasing on PC the price of 1-year protection is $19.99 and on Mac it’s $29.99.
The Fine Print
- Award will Pend for 32 days
- Must enter valid sign-up information, including credit card information, to earn award
Our Verdict
Far as I can tell, the purchase would trigger the Swagbucks even without installing. Sounds like an easy $30 moneymaker on PC. Hopefully the award shows up as pending right away, let us know how it goes if you try. (step-by-step signup guide here) (note: this will auto-renew unless you cancel, details on that here)
[There’s another offer there for 2,000 with Intego washing machine purchase, but that one has a cost of $19.99 so it’s a wash (pun intended), no moneymaker.]
Hat tip to reader Nelson
If you’re new to Swagbucks then please read our review. You can also get a bonus of up to $13 by using a referral link.
Mypoints credited today. Time to cancel auto-renew.
Must have expired, nothing found at the links above. Didn’t see Intego under AdGate Media, either.
fyi for those who didn’t track for P2 on SB, i put a ticket in with screenshot of email from intego and was credited within 1 hr.
Swagbucks Adgate Media currently also has it for $36, instant payout. Mypoints Adgate Media is ~38, but I did not get instant payout and probably will need to do a ticket.
if you’ve done the X9 washing machine offer previously, can you do this offer?
instant pend
Has anyone tried doing this using MP and SB for same person?
yes it worked….but I added my middle name on the 2nd time, different email, and different payment just in case.
Did in laptop, chrome browser. Its been 24 hours and not tracked so far. Going to put a request for refund
Yes, Ryan is right below! I didn’t notice at first that I was signing up for Recurring Billing. They will bill you again in one year if you don’t cancel.
I’ll add a note
Has anyone attempted this for both P1 and P2 on the same device? I only have 1 windows computer. No androids.
yes, I did P1 and P2 on the same computers….but I used different browsers for each.
I did P1 and P2:
The same PC (Win10)
The same browser (Google Chrome)
The same address (physical)
Different credit cards (two different cardholders; one AmEx CC and one Fidelity CC)
Different e-mail addresses
For both P1 and P2, the Swagbucks points are pending immediately after the payment.
I am considering doing P3 now. Anyone?
Now, I have just done with P3. Instant tracking.
P1, P2, and P3:
The same PC (Win10)
The same IP
The same browser (Google Chrome)
The same address (physical–slightly changed)
Different credit cards (two different cardholders; three different CCS: one AmEx CC, one Fidelity CC, and one Citi CC)
Different e-mail addresses
For your case, did you use the same cardholder or two different cardholders? Thanks.
used P1 cardholder for P1 and P2 cardholder for P2. Different payment for all 4 times (P1/P2 * SB/Mypoints).
Thanks. I will stay away from MyPoints at all costs. The very first deal that I did with MyPoints did not track. I argued with their customer service representative for a long time but did not get the issue resolved. They kept saying that they could not find my order information from their end. I sent them my receipt, my CC statement, and other evidence, but they said that they could not verify. So, the issue was not resolved. Therefore, I will never ever do any deals with MyPoints.
I am now focusing on Swagbucks. For Swagbucks, sometimes, the orders are also not tracked. But I got the issues resolved by contacting the customer service representatives. In general, I feel that Swagbucks is reliable.
See my experience below. But why did you mention the Androids? Can we use iPhone for the purchases?
usually yes. Data via mobile is another way to do multiple offers from one location. I never do more than two people using the same IP/ internet connection. Using mobile or remoting into another computer work. I believe the key is to be consistent with each account and not cross devices/browsers across accounts….but no one really knows. Otherwise they start to wonder if terms are being violated and might shut your account down.
I recently did two deals with SBs. For both deals, I did it four times and all tracked well. I used the same PC, the same browser, the same IP, four different accounts, two cardholders, and four different CCs, Regarding the address, I used my real address but slightly changed it each time.
