[Expired] [Targeted] AmEx Offer: Boxed, Spend $75+ & Receive $15/$20 Statement Credit

Deal has expired, view more Boxed deals by clicking here.

Update 5/24/19: Readers reached out with two promo codes now available: BOXED15 for 15% off and BOXEDMEM15 for $15 off $50 (latter code is valid twice, through June 9). Stacks well with the Amex deal.

The Offer

No direct link, targeted offer

  • Get a one-time $15 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $75+ in one or more transactions online at Boxed.com by 6/14/2019
  • There is also another variation for a 1,500 Membership Rewards points instead of $15
  • Others have the same offer but for $20 back

The Fine Print

  • Limit one per card member
  • Valid at Boxed.com/business, Boxed.com/express, Boxed.com or on the Boxed mobile app

Our Verdict

There is also another AmEx offer for 10% back on business cards, try to add this offer to the card with that offer as they will stack. Go through a portal for your Boxed purchases, might also be worth waiting until Boxed has a promo code or other discount to make the deal even better.

TCB has 4% cashback with new boxed users stacked with boxed 15% off code may2019. TCB posting was 1 day. Make sure you use the TCB code and not any other. I had the $20 off $75 amex deal, but was hesitant making a purchase at boxed due to receiving goods that are close to their expiration date, but with 4% at TCB, 15% at boxed and $20 with amex, I pulled the trigger on this one. Placed order, Next day received a email saying that in order to ship to a non billing address, they needed a copy of a current credit card statement with the
credit card number and address shown, otherwise they will cancel. Thanks, but no thanks. Will be taking my order to costco. I only pretty much pulled the trigger at boxed b/c of the amex deal, but sending them a copy of a current credit card statement is over the top.

Do I need to run this as Paypal or Google Pay? I don’t see an option to run the payment directly.

Sweet spot for someone having that 15$ off 75$ on their amex is spending 88.24$. That cones out 75$ after applying the 15% promo. We’re talking about 28.24*100%/88.24=32% overall discount. Not bad. If only there are things I can spend 88$ on.

I was going to go with a code in combination with an Amex offer to buy some Smashburger gift cards for resale plus a few other items, but the code didn’t apply to gift cards. A couple of years ago they had some worthwhile gift card deals and the Amex offers were better than the standard 20%.

Gerald Try MISSYOU for $10 off. That seems to work on gift cards.

If ordering, make sure to add “Prince & Spring Premium Ultra Soft Bath Tissue” as a free giveaway item.

I think this new promo $15 off $50 is on Google Express while AMEX would only work on Boxed.com itself.

Ahh, yeah, looks like the $15 off $50 is Boxed on GE. I’ll remove that one, thanks.

Is the problem that GE doesn’t allow Amex as payment, or that it bills as GE and not Boxed?

GE probably won’t trigger the Amex Offer credit.

I agree. I have crunched some number before on this and their prices are not too impressive. If anyone sees any product that is a good overall price (compared to Costco, Walmart, etc.) please share.
