Our Verdict

This deal is very good, basically a maximum of 90,000 points. You do need to be able to spend $2,000 or more per month though. This is the reason this card is ranked #1 on our list of store cards. Feel free to share any other variations of this offer you received in the comments. If you don’t have the card currently you can sign up, but the only version available is one that earns SYWR. You can then product change that version to one that earns Citi TYP or cash back (TYP is best as it gets the most offers from what I’ve seen). If you don’t regularly get offers on this card then try putting some spend on it, that seems to trigger offers and usually after receiving your first offer you’ll want to put a lot of spend on the card and that will keep triggering new offers every month/quarter.

I just got this now! But only 5000 maximum bonus points per month from October to December. (So 5000*3=15000 Max)

Just when the Discover It card quarterly category (restaurants) finally did not overlap with Chase Freedom (gas stations, etc.) like it did for the past several quarters, Sears announces this promotion, which overlaps with both the Discover It and Chase Freedom for the entire quarter.

I’ve been using only the Sears card this quarter since I don’t spend enough to maximize these bonus categories on all of these credit cards. It’s a letdown that these cards’ bonus categories overlap like this.

There is another Sears promotion that I received via e-mail: Receive 10X bonus ThankYou points when I spend $500 or more on eligible online purchases from 6/1/18 to 7/31/18, up to a total of 7,500 bonus points. I didn’t see a separate post for it so I left some comments on the post about bonus points on travel spending.

Who spends over $2,000/month of gas/grocery/restaurant? Has to be a really large family!

I just received my new offer, this time for up to 30k points a month! I just have a question about how these points post. My last promotion was for 10k per month and I just saw 10k in points show up. Do they normally come one cycle at a time or should I have seen 30k points all at once once the promotion ended? What are others seeing?

The points come one cycle at a time, not all at once. Also, they’ll come 1-2 statements after the original spend. Question, did you receive your offer by mail just now? I am not signed up for paperless bills/notificiations and usually receive these offers, but I haven’t got anything yet. 🙁

Yes my offer came yesterday in the mail, a full 9 days after it started which isn’t optimal. Also this go round the spend requirement is 2000 a month minimum which is a lot for just groceries, gas and restaurants. I may have trouble making even the minimum without being creative. Thanks for the info about when I’ll see the points.

Hi everbody, I don’t know why my previous post didn’t show up here…

I have a question: can the TYP point earned with this card be transferred to Airline partners? Or used as travel cost?

Thanks so much~~

Questions:
1. Will the points earned be combined with my TY Prefer card’s points?

2. Can the TYP be transferred to Airline partners? If not, what are ways to redeem the points?

Many thanks~

That promo is insane. Applied today & instant approved $4k CL. Any data points on PC with no spend on card? SYW points do absolutely nothing for me, I’ll try PC around 90 days.

Does anyone know if these thank you points can be combined with transferable thank you points?
