$300 bonus Consumer Checking Offer [may be a.k.a. Access Checking instead]
https://www.hancockwhitney.com/compete-q3-09-consumer-checking-300-2021

This account now has a lower minimum balance requirement. Now $250 instead of $1500

Deal is back until Dec 31 2021
NOTICE You must open with $250 on day 1 and keep that balance for 180-days to avoid the $10 monthly fee. Do not open with $50 or you will be hit with that predatory fee.
Any ACH push from external F.I. seems to work to trigger bonus
Must keep account open for 180-days to avoid $20 early closing fee and bonus claw back.
Account pays no interest.

Relationship Pricing [FEES]
-You can waive the $12 monthly service charge on your Connect Checking account by meeting one or more of the following requirements: Maintain a $250 minimum daily balance.
-$20 fee applies if the account is closed within 180 days of account opening.

Easy Fee Avoidance
We’ll waive monthly service charges with a direct deposit of $250 or more, a minimum balance of $250 or more, or if the primary account holder is under 24 or over 64 years old [1].

[1] Checking Promotion Requirements: Use the promo code referenced above when opening a new personal checking account with money not currently on deposit at Hancock Whitney Bank by the offer expiration date of 12/31/2021. The promo code is required at account opening. The following criteria must be met by 2/28/2022: Set up and receive a qualifying monthly direct deposit of at least $250 per deposit. A qualifying direct deposit is a recurring electronic deposit, including a salary, pension, social security, other government benefit or other recurring, monthly income amount of $250 or more, made by your employer or outside agency. Transfers from one account to another do not qualify. Qualifying direct deposit does not include payments received from apps such as PayPal or Cash App, and other similar payment providers. Tax refunds and Stimulus Checks are not qualifying direct deposits. Deposits made at a financial center, via ATM, online transfer, mobile device, debit card/prepaid card number or the mail do not qualify. The Bank may change or discontinue the offer at any time and without notice. This offer is non-transferable and cannot be combined with other offers. Only the person to whom this offer is addressed is eligible for this offer. Limit of one consumer checking-related bonus per household every 2 calendar years. Now the tricky part of closing the account. I want to avoid fee traps! The fees are sneaky! TOm

They charge you the $14 service fee for not opening with $1,500 MINIMUM (statements are not start/end by month mind you – for me the statement ended on the 21st).
Opened 6.7.21
ACH’d in over $1,500 6.24.21
Billed a service fee of $14 on 7.21.21
Have maintained over $1,500 since 6.24.21

CS rep was supremely unhelpful stating that the account must be funded from day one at $1,500 (not even sure they allowed that much as an initial deposit). No other bank does that. What a great start to the banking relationship…

This is at the bottom of the account opening page:

“I authorize you to obtain a consumer report from a consumer reporting agency to verify information that I provided in the application or for any other legitimate business purpose in connection with this Account.”

Sounds like this is a hard pull, not a soft pull.

It is a soft pull

I did this one a number of months back. Signing up online failed, but a banker called me the next day and I went in branch to finish opening. They paid fairly quickly and painlessly.

where does it say “LA, MS, FL, AL, TX ONLY”? I am in GA, entered the zipcode, and received the promo code via email. Looked around their website, do not see any language indicating “LA, MS, FL, AL, TX ONLY”.
