[Targeted] Verizon Up: Free $3-$5 Gift Card Each Month To Visa, Amazon, Verizon, Home Depot, CVS & More

Monthly reminder to check for this freebie.

The Offer

No direct link, check your Verizon Up app to see if you were targeted

  • Check your Verizon Up rewards app for a free $3 or $5 gift card to various places, such as Visa, Amazon, Home Depot, CVS, Staples and more. Also check for $5 Verizon Dollars that can be applied to discount your monthly bill.

Sometimes people see offers for $10, but it’s typically $5 or $3 or nothing.

The Fine Print

  • You can get one per month

Our Verdict

Worth checking your Verizon Up app on the first of each month to see if you were targeted and what the options are for you. Hopefully you see $5 Visa or Amazon, though you might see a less exciting option like $3 CVS gift card. Each month you’ll be targeted for a different deal, it’s not consistent.

Always get the same low offers – but thank you for this reminder each month!

Pretty sure not but if you are, it will show up in the app.

Whenever I get the $3 options, I always opt for the $5 VZW dollars and just apply it to my bill. Fingers crossed they’re always available together! Never not had the $5 VZW dollars option come up.

So I just did the $5, but how do I add it or pay off my phone (or simply bill) with it? Not seeing an option.

In your Verizon app go to the Verizon Up section and it should show your balance at the top and have options to “Use on your bill” or “spend in the shop”

Joel T. Bell Thanks, sadly I only see ‘Shop’ as a button. I don’t know why.

Definitely give them a call. That’s not as it should be.

You need the Verizon Visa card to use those towards your bill.

You need the Verizon credit card to do this

Did you redeem for Device Dollars on Verizon Dollars? If you have the Verizon Visa card you get Verizon Dollars that you can be used on your bill. Otherwise, you get Device Dollars, which can only be used for equipment.

anyone else see the $100 postmates credit, what the best way to maximize this before i claim it, any new user bonus i can get prior

Avi
Avi

Christian It’s not what you think it is. It’s just a $100 credit towards the delivery fees, not towards the food itself.

Oops! Thanks didn’t realized it

Christian They certainly designed it to deceive.

I dunno how else they can word it…it says “get $100 in delivery credit with postmates.” I think that’s more reading comprehension error.

Avi
Avi

Miki How about “get $100 in delivery fee credit with postmates?” I think just adding the term “fee” in there somewhere would greatly clarify it.

My offers are back to $5 and in the bonus rewards section (no credit needed) there’s $100 postmates delivery promo code valid for new and existing postmates accounts

This time they have Apple News+ for 6 months (5 months for current subscribers), which is a pretty good value. It’s normally $9.99/month.

So they throw peanuts at you and then charge an arm and a leg for service. Nice trick

Try Verizon prepaid. You won’t be eligible for Verizon UP and other stuff postpaid customers are eligible for (like the Verizon credit card, for example) but your bill will also be lower most likely.

Switching from postpaid to prepaid lowered our bill from $42.5/person to eventually $25/person (after 9 months service); we also doubled our data to 5 GB/person. However, buyer beware: it took me 10+ hours of dealing with Verizon to switch 4 people from 1 family plan into 4 separate prepaid accounts. Horrible experience but we ultimately saved big long term.

I pay $30/line for their basic unlimited plan. I don’t understand all the “universal charges” that add up to about $10 extra but most other carriers charge those too. I think that’s as cheap as I can find.

I used to get $5 offers regularly but this is the first time it’s $3 for me, must be cutting back

Really? The gift cards have been $3 for several months now, at least for me.
