U.S. Bank Adds Three New Business Credit Cards + Gives Access To MasterCard’s Business Network

US Bank have announced that they are giving access to MasterCard’s Business Network to their small business customers. As part of this announcement they have also released three new credit cards, all running on the MasterCard payment network.

New Cards

The three new cards being released by US Bank are as follows:

  • U.S. Bank Business Edgeâ„¢ Cash Rewards World Eliteâ„¢ MasterCard®
  • U.S. Bank World Eliteâ„¢ MasterCard® Company Card
  • U.S. Bank MasterCard® Community Card

Neither the Company or Community card look to be advertised on the US Bank website.

Business Edge Cash Rewards

This card has actually been available since April 10th, 2014 when US bank launched their new Edge range of business credit cards.

  • Earn 3% cash back cellular, gas and office supply store
  • Earn 1% cash back on all other purchases
  • Receive a 25% bonus on the previous years cash back earned, up to $250

Company Card

Pretty basic card, just earns 1% cash back on all purchases.

Community Card

Can’t find any details on this card

MasterCard Business Network

Their official website is: https://www.mbnusbank.com/en/home. They basically offer paid access (at a slight discount) to a variety of different business tools. Everything else they offer on the website seems to be available freely for non members.

Our Verdict

These new cards and partnership basically seem to be pretty much worthless as far as I can see. You might get some use out of the tools if you need them and want them at a slight discount, but my gut feel is that you’ll be able to get the same/bigger discount by using a coupon code or other promotion.

I’ve been missing the Avis 5% savings with Mastercard Easy Savings since the Chase Ink went VISA.

As someone who rents a few cars a month, this added up. Any good no annual fee business cards that could get me that statement credit?
