- Use promo code CA24
- Set up eStatements with a valid e-mail address
- Receive a recurring monthly direct deposit of $250+
The Fine Print
- Offer expires 10/31/20. To receive the $300 cash bonus, use promo code PP0920NEW300 online or bring this to any Landmark location and open any new Landmark Checking Account (“New Account”) with e-statements (valid email address required) and recurring monthly direct deposit (“Qualified Account”). Direct deposit is defined as a minimum of $250 per month in ACH deposits, which may include payroll, pension or government benefit payments.
- Landmark will review your New Account 60 days after opening and deposit the $300 within 45 days of the review if the direct deposit and e-statement requirements have been met.
- Accounts closed within the first 6 months will be charged a $300 penalty.
- $300 will be reported as interest on a 1099-INT.
- Not valid with any other offers.
- One bonus offer available per year per member. Landmark Associates are not eligible.
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
None of these accounts have any monthly fee.
Early Account Termination Fee
Account must be kept open for six months or bonus will be forfeit
Our Verdict
Better than the previous $200 checking bonus and no targeted language this time. If it is a soft pull to open then definitely worth doing.

To make this promo slightly more confusing, there appears to be multiple valid promo codes.
The promo code ED24 was sent to P1 and P2 in an email from Landmark.
The promo code DH24 appears within a popup inside Landmark online banking.
It is my assumption that the different codes track the different marketing campaign avenues for the promotion, but the promotion itself remains the same for them all.
There is also promo code MD24 from physical mailers.
That’s the code I received on my direct-mailed postcard.
Thanks for submitting your application! We’ll be in touch after we’ve completed our review (typically 1-2 business days).
Applied using a cook county address and said I have relatives who work in lake county
Thank you for choosing Landmark Credit Union! Before we can fully open your account, we need to verify your eligibility. Can you please provide the following:
-Family member name who lives in the chartered area with their home address in WI
Dang. I also applied from a cook county address (using relatives option), was automatically declined. CSR said I would have to go into a branch and give the name of an existing credit union member to be able to open.
You ought to be living OR working in Lake County! Since both counties are adjoining, many people do live in one county (i.e. cook) and work in another (i.e. Lake). And that’s valid!
Is CA24 the new code? Anyone can confirm?
MN always missing out on these ‘state specific’ bonuses.
Applied OOS. Put family in county for eligibility. Declined. No reason given. lol/12 for chex
William Charles This $300 offer is back until 5/31/2024.
Alliant Credit Union counted as Direct Deposit
This bank is churnable once per calendar year.
P1 & P2 both received the $200 bonus on 2/12/2022 and then closed both checking accounts (kept savings accounts open) in late-Jan/early-Feb 2023.
P1
5/10 – checking account re-opened with promo code L300
5/25 – $250 real DD from Chase ACH Payment Services
6/13 – $250 real DD from Chase ACH Payment Services
8/23 – $300 bonus posted
P2
5/22 – checking account re-opened with promo code L300
5/25 – $250 real DD from Chase ACH Payment Services
6/13 – $250 real DD from Chase ACH Payment Services
8/20 – $300 bonus posted
On 8/22, I inquired why I didn’t receive the bonus on 8/20 like P2 and they said their system showed that I was previously signed up for eStatements and it didn’t track correctly with the new account. They manually posted the bonus the next business day.
So if you are churning, once you open your new checking account you will need to disable and then re-enable eStatements for it to track correctly in their system or the bonus will not automatically post. I believe it worked for P2 because I changed their email address after account opening.
DD Report.
Opened account 5/3, in network, online.
Real DD’s of $250.01 on 5/15, 5/31, 6/15, 6/30, and 7/15
$300 bonus posted on 7/29.
Will now leave the $300 bonus in place and see if rolling this through 4 week t-bills will continue to trigger the direct deposit requirement to keep the 7.5% interest rate on $500.
