$30 Moneymaker + Free Hulu with Swagbucks and Amex

The Offer

Direct Link

  • Signup for a monthly Hulu subscription via Swagbucks and get 3,000 SB (worth at least $30)

There’s also currently an Amex Offer going on until May 2018:

  • Spend $50 on Hulu and get a $50 statement credit

The Fine Print

  • Valid this weekend only (I assume it’ll last through Sunday, 8/27/17)
  • SB Awarded within 24 hours (reportedly, it’s coming instantly)
  • Please note: If you cancel your membership within 8 days, your SB may be revoked
  • Offer applies to new and eligible returning subscribers only
  • This offer may only be redeemed (1) one time per user
  • If you do not receive credit within 24 hours, please reach out to our Customer Service team here

Our Verdict

3,000 for Hulu signup is the best offer ever – it usually varies between 1,200 and 2,500 Swagbucks. Without the Amex Offer, this is a $22 moneymaker by signing up for the $8 plan. Just make sure to cancel after 8 days if you don’t want to continue service.

If you have the Amex Offer, you can save the $8 monthly fee by making sure to meet the $50 threshold and getting it free, making this a $30 moneymaker. We’ve noted in the past the easiest way to meet the $50 threshold is by signing up for the $11.99 monthly plan; taxes should push you over $50 after four months. Again, remember to cancel after four months if you don’t want to continue service.

Another option to save the $8 fee is by checking your Bank Amerideals to see if there’s a $8 Hulu offer there (comes occasionally).

A lot of us have already done a Swagbucks/Hulu deal and when clicking through for this offer we are getting a popup indicating that we are not eligible. You can still do the Amex deal for free Hulu streaming, but it’s not a moneymaker.

Bear in mind: some people end up having problems either with the portal tracking or with Swagbucks deactivating their account for reasons which aren’t clear, so keep the risks in mind. If you’re new to Swagbucks then please read our review. You can also get a bonus of up to $5 by using a referral link.

I responded to the Hulu offer from the Swagbucks site after creating a new Swagbucks account. That was three weeks ago. My 30,000 bucks has not appeared. I have sent Swagbucks 2 emails via their help center, with not response other than assigning an incident number.

Swagbucks worked once for me for Dollar Shave Club. This is twice now that other deals have not worked for me, though. When I contact customer service, I get multiple automated responses but never any real response or resolution. I will give support a second try, but at this point, I think Swagbucks has already crossed over in to not worth the effort territory for me.

I didn’t get credit. The contact us link has options for Customer Service and Compliance. Any idea which one I should use?

Yes, back to 1500 SB for me. Not worth it.

Are we sure this will work with the AMEX offer? Fine print shows to enroll thru a specific link to Hulu and that you won’t get the free trial period. The swagbucks link thru shows the free trial period.

Thanks!

Same here. I don’t see Hulu signup under my Swagbucks activities either, so it’s not like it’s pending at the moment.

Just to be sure …. regardless of what plan you subscribe to, the first month is free, right ? I went with the $11.99 plan, and it says I won’t be charged until 9/28.

I did two subscriptions, one for me and the other for the S/O. I received mine instantly but nothing for the S/O, not even in the Swagbucks activities.

Same. Just like a GPT site to defaud you. I owned a GPT site 7+ years ago and haven’t done a GPT offer in probably 5 years. I never completed this offer in the past. My account was created in 2010. Told them as much when I sent my ticket 8 DAYS AGO!

Somehow the ticket shown on 3 separate occasions that it was updated based on the “last activity”.

Not to mention, I couldn’t even create the ticket the 1st day I did the offer because of some “error” when trying to submit the ticket. Tried with FF, IE, and Chrome.

Should have known. F%$K SwagBucks and GPTs in general.

does anyone know what would happen to an amex sync offer if I was charged the $50 on my Amex card because I forgot to cancel it which triggered the Amex offer, had the representative refund the money for getting it cancelled. The refund also removed the $50 sync credit along with taking the offer off from offers link on the account

Since technically I have not yet used the offer, will the offer still work when I spend $50 on the card?

If you have a PNC checking account, there is also a targeted offer out there for $5 back on a Hulu subscription using your debit card. Not as good as the Amex offer, but another option. I should mention the PNC offer says good only for first time subscribers…but I’m gonna try it out anyways and see if it posts.

I am having PNC account and PNC Points Visa CC since 9 years. But never get any offers on my account. I have stopped using PNC account and keep it open with minimum required balance and sack drawer my PNC CC.
Any idea how to get targeted offer on PNC?

I have no idea. I don’t have a PNC CC, just a Virtual Wallet, which I opened about 3-4 months ago. I’ve only had three offers so far – Hulu, 1800Flowers, and Amazon Restaurants
