Our Verdict

This isn’t the highest bonus we’ve see on this card. We have seen the following before:

Because of those offers and the fact we see this particular offer so often, I’d actually recommend waiting until the bonus increases on this card unless you have a real short term need for Delta miles and in that case it might make more sense to get the Delta Platinum cards as I don’t see the sign up bonus on those increasing with the same likelihood (although I can easily be wrong). Because of that this won’t be added to the best credit card bonuses.

If you have a question regarding American Express cards, read this post first as it probably answers your question. If not feel free to ask in the comments. Friendly reminder as well that American Express generally doesn’t match sign up bonuses, but they will usually offer courtesy points if you call in and ask.

There’s another similar limited offer for the Delta Gold card on the Delta website.

$150 Statement Credit after you use your new Card on a Delta purchase in your first 3 months
50,000 bonus miles after you make $2,000 in purchases on your new Card within your first 3 months
Expires 4/11/2018

I don’t see the “once a life time” language in the offer terms. Is it possible to get the bonus if I had the card before?

“Welcome bonus offer not available to applicants who have or have had this product.”, right at the top of the “Offer Terms” section.

While this is not the all time high for Personal Gold, has there been a better offer for Business Gold?

Is the Business Gold considered a different “Product” than the Personal Gold card?

I saw a Facebook ad for this offer today that claims it expires April 11th.

Is it possible to downgrade to the no annual fee next year?
