American Express has added Wine.com, Milk Bar, and Goldbelly as new options for the $10 monthly dining credit. They’ve also removed Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and Boxed.com as options.
Full list of current options:

- Shake Shack (select locations)
- Wine.com
- Milk Bar
- Goldbelly
Does Ruth’s Chris still work?
Until August. Then, no longer.
Too bad the smallest gift card on Wine.com is $25. If they had allowed those in $10 increments, I’d be game. Otherwise I’d just continue growing my pile of Cheesecake Factory GC’s.
How does this work
I just realized i haven’t been getting the credit on Cheesecake gift cards anymore. Amex caught on.
Is there a list of Shake Shack locations that are participating?
I think as long as it’s not at airports, stadiums it should work. Possibly the location at airports / stadiums are operated by food services company instead of Shake Shack.
Basically everything except ballparks, stadiums, airports and racetracks
This is very niche, but surprisingly useful for me.
If you use a wine.com coupon, stack the periodic amex offers, stack rakuten (some of my datapoints indicate this no longer stacks when using a coupon), and then also now this credit, you can get some ridiculously discounted liquor. I refrain from buying wine on wine.com, but the hard liquor prices can be competitive and it is rare to get such meaningful discounts on liquor. In the past, I’ve done things like stack $30 off $100, a $10 amex offer, and 15x Raktuen/Amex pts, off of liquor that I would otherwise have been buying at full price. I’ve done this regularly enough to the point that I have at times paid $50 for their “1 year of free shipping” program.
Milkbar is also around the corner from me, and it seems like I grab something every 2-3 months.
This works out well if you are a Stewardship member at wine.com. Free shipping on all orders, no minimum. A drinkable bottle of wine per month isn’t too shabby. Assuming of course you have Stewardship ($59 a year).
Does Wine.com carry Two buck chuck?
🙂
I don’t think so. I think that Charles Shaw wine aka Two Buck Chuck is a Trader Joes exclusive.
what? removing ruth’s chris as my $10 option?
…so much for my free napkin there
They’re not THA . . . oh wait I haven’t been there since the inflationdemic started.
How about boxed.com, is it still eligible for the credit?
No
Yes but is boxed.com still eligible?
$120 Dining Credit
Effective August 2, 2022, Boxed and Ruth’s Chris Steak House will no longer be participating partners for the $120 Dining Credit.
From the Gold card’s T&C. Guess I’ll be able to enjoy at least a couple more months of Boxed. This is definitely a negative change, as I have tried to move away from using these at Grubhub in an effort to watch the ol’ waistline.
Same, I used the credit at Boxed because of their decent Prince & Spring line
I’m probably still going to struggle to use this every month, but the new options are definitely an improvement for me.
Really? One visit to Chipotle wipes it out pretty well.
I thought I was the only one LOL. Chipotle is an easy winner. Trying to avoid KFC lol.
Yup. For some reason here Chipotle is cheaper on GrubHub than anywhere else, so I can usually get a chicken burrito bowl and a bag of chips for $10.25. Like clockwork every month.
Do you live in the middle of nowhere?
