American Express Vendor List Showing Placeholder For Titanium & Black Charge (Not Centurion) Card

Reddit user Drwaz99 came across a vendor list showing a placeholder for a Titanium & Black Charge card (p51). It’s been rumored that American Express has plans to launch a new premium card positioned between the Platinum & Centurion (sometimes referred to as American Express Optio). American Express doubled the annual fee on the Centurion card at the end of last year, so there is definitely room for a card with an annual fee between those two.

All that I am saying is that if they offer me 250k MR Points +… I will pay a 2k+ annual fee for the Titanium card… Sometimes you have to take a deal in hard times… and just figure out the rest later, no?

Definitely, even the best marketing team would have trouble digging out of this hole. 500k sub may do the trick though.

They will give a 500k SUB but claw it back 1 year later with interest for “exploiting a company during a crisis”

** QUESTION FOR EVERYONE** >> What is the 1 perk you’d like to see on the the upcoming card(s)? Mine is a single-location Equinox membership. (Thanks for keeping us up to date on the development of this, Will.)

Considering they bundle benefits and make you pay for them all with the AF, I hope you’re comfortable paying 4k a year

I’d be more interested in the $1-2K range as long as the bundled benefits are ones I’d normally use without the card. Equinox is already my home gym, I’ve been a CLEAR member for a few years, and do a few runs to Saks here and there. Always smart to make sure the cards you have are the right fit with your travel + lifestyle habits.

I sure hope not. There are already limited locations for those (I don’t live near one). Making it a perk on the Centurion makes sense to some extent. I’m hoping the perk provided by these two new cards would be something more widely available to justify the potential higher annual fee. Geofenced perks like Equinox really benefits a minority.

Why add cards to get more applications? Just remove the once per lifetime language…

Ah very exciting, I definitely don’t spend enough to get targeted for the Centurion so I do hope I get can either apply or be targeted for these.
