Deal has ended, view more Amex offers by clicking here.

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Get a one-time $200 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend $1,000+ on room rate and room charges for your stay at Hilton brand hotels in Hawaii from 2/10/2020 to 6/30/2020. Book direct at hilton.com.

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid only at Hilton brand hotels in the state of Hawaii.
  • Reservations must be made online at hilton.com, via the Hilton Honors App or by calling 1-800-445-8667.
  • Offer does not apply to advance purchase rates, including Advance Purchase, Save Now & Pay and Non-refundable rates.
  • Excludes gift card purchases.
  • Corporate Cards are not eligible for this offer.
  • Offer only valid on room rate and room charges.
  • Offer not valid for lodging stays that are paid for before the promotion start date or after the promotion end date.

Our Verdict

If your stay is after 6/30/20 you can usually call in and pay in advance and trigger the offer. Also, if purchase gift cards at the front desk they usually trigger this offer as well. Not a bad offer for just general use either.

Offer is only showing on select cards, but it’s also on the Amex Connect site so you can add it that way. Related:

I seem to be unable to add the amex connect offers to my accounts anymore. Is anyone else having difficulty?

Same here. After inputting card details and logging in, it says my Aspire card is eligible. However, after clicking “continue”, it shows a blank page. Same results for other Hilton offers I tried to add to the Aspire card

Won’t work on my aspire card

How do these offers stack with the Aspire $250 resort credit and the $60/$350 Conrad/WA AMEX Offer? For example, if I spend exactly $1000 at the Grand Wailea, will I get the Aspire $250, Conrad/WA $60, and this $250 credit? Or will the $250 Aspire resort credit drop the “real” spend to $750, thus disqualifying me from the $1000 requirement?

You’ll get $200 statement credit from this offer, $250 statement credit from aspire, $60 statement credit from the Conrad/wa offer. It’s a decent stack. You could potentially do a bit better if you split your $1000 purchase across a Conrad/wa resort and a doubletree in Hawaii. The offer terms don’t mention “single purchase” or “multiple purchases” so it’s hard to say for sure if that would work, but most Amex offers can be multiple purchases.

Wish I could cash out my Hilton points at that .5 cents and then pay for this this.

Used this last year, important thing to note is that this offer will NOT be triggered if you book an advanced purchase rate. In other words, not the pre paid rate but rather, paying upon checkout.

Hilton hotels in Hawaii don’t sell GCs at the front desk.

Has anyone tried buying GCs even if its not at the front desk to trigger the offer?

Hilton Hawaiian Village sells GCs through the gift shop. I’m not brave enough to buy it there.

I’d buy something small from the gift store to see if if triggers an email from AmexOffers, and if it does – proceed with $1,000 purchase.

There usually isn’t an email confirmation until you’ve used the actual offer (ie. $1000 spending in this case).

From my experience it’s enough to spend any amount at the eligible merchant to trigger an amex offer email, which btw says “If your purchase meets the offer terms, …” That is, the purchase amount is not verified to send the email.

See it on Amex Blue Cash Everyday but not Amex Hilton Business. Good job Amex! 🙂

As long as you don’t add it to your BCE, you should be able to add it via the direct link above or the amex connect site.
