[Expired] AmEx Offer: Shipt grocery delivery, Spend $99 & Receive $50 Statement Credit

Deal has expired, view more Shipt deals by clicking here.

The Offer

Check your American Express login for the following offer:

  • Get a one-time $50 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $99+ in one or more transactions online at shipt.com.

The Fine Print

  • Valid through February 12, 2019.
  • $99 threshold can be met in a single transaction or split across multiple transactions.
  • Valid online only. Includes purchases via merchant mobile app.

Our Verdict

Shipt is a grocery delivery service which has a $14 monthly membership fee or yearly membership fee of $99. You can also get a free two week trial. Obviously the deal will be best if you can use it in conjunction with the free trial.

50% is a nice discount on groceries. Keep in mind that Shipt prices will be different to what you’d pay in store.

Should be possible to make the deal even better by stacking with other promo codes or whatnot. Sometimes individual stores will also have a sign up bonus via Shipt. Feel free to share how you stacked this deal in the comments.

All the referrals from the previous thread give the error:

“The membership code has been fully redeemed”

I’ve tried them all. Please post a new code/allow a new referral chain in the comments

Ibotta has $20 off an annual membership and 2% cb

I was able to add it to multiple cards, more to test it out than to actually use that many times.

Did you actually got the credit on all the cards?

I tried Shipt before, ordered at 6pm, got a confirmation at 8pm that someone was going to get my order, at 10pm they contacted me to say the store had closed before they made it to get my order. They said they would try again the next day. That didn’t work for me so I had to call to cancel my account. I’ll probably try again for 50% off though.

I don’t see a free two week trial option… where is it?
thanks.

Where is your previous post? “Find a $20 referral signup link in the comments of the previous post. Please don’t leave any referrals in the comments here, they’ll be removed.” [link removed. Follow the rules]

William Charles

Why’d you post your link when we kindly asked you not to?

Can you please allow someone to post a new link???? I am telling you that the old links DO NOT WORK. You can check yourself if you actually try to sign-up through it (not just visit the landing page.) I want a referral. Your $15 link in OP is for $15 off an annual membership, not $15 credit toward your first order.

I’m sorry, but I was not able to find a place where you do want to post links. TY

I took advantage of this about six months ago using a trial 2 week membership and saved the $50. Canceled membership and several months later i was offered a 1 year membership for $30. I took the offer and have used it quite a few times since. Really hoping to get the $50 offer again, but it’s not on any of my cards.

Most stuff have a surcharge on the price of about 20-25%. So at the end it is about a 30% discount.

Agreed – plus you get the pleasure paying an annual fee and tipping. No way will they be viable term. I only use the service with these Amex deals and try to only buy stuff that is on sale to limit the surcharges.

Pretty easy for my family to order $100 of groceries in two weeks time of the free trial.

Doesn’t the post say not to leave referrals in comments? Please use DoC’s referral in the deal post.

Used Doc’s link to signup. Bought a stick vacuum + filler at Target. Got a message from Amex:

We appreciate you using your Amex Offer at Shipt. You’ll be rewarded with a $50.00 statement credit, which will automatically be applied to your statement if your purchase meets the offer terms.

Will this work if I’ve cancelled my account last week and sign up again?

It should be pointed out that this works with Target purchases, including things like electronics (prices on these items do not appear to be inflated). Nice deal!

I’m going to wait a week to sign up and then stack with this offer from Target for Black Friday

If you cancel your trial they might offer you 2 months trial plus $10 free, also target seems to be running $10 gc for $50 grocery on Shipt, very excited to max this out.

I can do you one better. Ask for $25 credit instead of $10 and you will get it. May be too late tho if you already got the $10. Probably can’t threaten to cancel twice.

Darn, missed this comment, but definitely a great tip!

Anyone having issues placing an order? My amex w/ the offer keeps getting declined.

Took a few tries for some reason, but it worked. The total dropped below $99 since some items were out of stock, but I think i can make it up with the tip.
