[Expired] Amex Offers: Blue Apron, Spend $50 & Get $25 Statement Credit [Stack With First Time User Bonus]

Deal has expired, view more AmEx offers by clicking here.

The Offer

Check your Amex Offers for the following deal:

  • Get a one-time $25 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $50+ in one or more transactions online at blueapron.com by 7/31/2019.

Blue Apron is a recipe-delivery/food-planning service which delivers fresh ingredients weekly for you to cook and prepare meals yourself.

The Fine Print

  • Valid online only.
  • Excludes gift card purchases, corporate transactions, and purchases made through third party websites and retailers.
  • In most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it.

Our Verdict

Looks like this one is showing on all cards. Blue Apron regularly offers large bonuses for first time users, like this Ibotta bonus which comes out every couple of weeks, and other deals. Coupled with the Amex Offer, it should be possible to get nearly free (or better than free) meals on your first order. Great time to try them out.

If you want to risk it by purchasing a blueapron gift card, I can confirm that topcashback is offering 20% back on gift card purchases:

Just a warning here… Amex did not issue my statement credit after I spent over $65 on a subscription. When I asked about this by chat, I was told it was a “third party purchase,” which obviously it wasn’t. You can only get Blue Apron through BlueApron.com and they are an online subscription service only. The offer itself says spend “at BlueApron.com.” The rep did issue me a statement credit but acted like it was a favor since i’m classified as a valuable customer to them. He said I didn’t actually meet the terms of the offer.

So beware of either a glitch in the vendor info at Amex or some actual shady bait and switch going on.

It is possible to get 8 meals for $17. If you use Rakuten for example, you get $20 off a family meal plan $72. Which comes to $52. Then there’s $10 cashback from Rakuten and finally $25 from Amex.

Better deal if you wait for the $50 Ibotta offer to return.

Nice, found this offer on personal card and switched payment method @ Blue Apron already. Just make sure that expected charge will be 50+ after taking to account promo discounts. Easy 25 off, thanks!

It says “one or more transactions” so it can be split across multiple transactions.

Also UA Mileage plus shopping 800 miles and $60 off first three boxes – saw this in my UA e-mail this morning , AS, SW and other Mileage portals may offer similar stacking.

But Ibotta may be better stack. Havnt done blue apron yet and have the offer on P#2 and my own cards.
