Our Verdict
I can’t find this offer on my cards. This basically gets you 6 months free of Disney+ if you were targeted for this offer (though you’ll still get stuck with sales tax in some states). If you go through Rakuten, you’ll end up with a $7.99 moneymaker to boot or 799 Membership Rewards points.
American Express Platinum cardholders always get a $20 digital entertainment credit which can be used on Disney+ or a few other services, so you might already have Disney+ from that. If you see the Disney+ Amex Offer on your Platinum card, it’s possible you’ll get double-credited from the entertainment credit and the Amex Offer.

i added this amex offer and the peacock TV one. both purchases were not credited automatically. amex chat CSR told me to wait 14-21 days. annoying.
I did the Peacock one last year, took 6 or 8 weeks to credit. This Disney+ one credited within a day last week. They seem to be all over the place with timing.
My Rakuten cashback was supposedly $6.99. The shopping trip was tracked properly but no pay, with an info-bubble saying “Disney+ did not provide Cash Back for this purchase”. Anyone else facing this?
Which cards do you have? I’m finding it on some of my/my dad’s Amex cards, but not all. It is present on both of our accounts on at least some cards. I’m not finding it on: Amex Platinum,

Delta Platinum,
Delta Skymiles Reserve
Rakuten dropped the rebate to $1. It’s not worth it to me as I’ve already watched everything I want to watch available on Disney+. Will only go back if there is a better promo.

Added the offer to my card, but I have the Disney+/Hulu/ESPN bundle, and the Disney/ESPN portion (billed by disneyplus) including tax is $7.55/month.
Is it possible to open two disney account from one rakuten account, and get 7.99 cash back to the rakuten account twice, and also use the same Amex card (which is targetted) to pay the monthly charge for both accounts?
Does anyone know how the credits work with refunds? Accidently extending a family members expired subscription instead of starting my own, Disney had to refund so I can create my own account. Will the credit still be available for a 6th time or did I just waste that one?
