The big news was that Citi is implementing a new rule for it’s credit card products, I’d strongly recommend you read our detailed post about these changes. This new rule will not be in effect until August 28th according to their media department, so you still have some time to get an application or two in. I shared some strategies for dealing with this new rule that are also worth looking at. You can currently get a sign up bonus of 50,000 miles on the CitiBusiness American Airlines card and the Citi retention department is open again as well.
We updated our best bank bonus page for August, 2016. We added a few new bonuses this week that are worth checking out, such as: Pinnacle Bank $100 bonus with no requirements (KS, MO, NE, IA, WY, CO only). Central Bank offering $150 with no requirements as well (OK only) and more (see below for full list). Citi has also introduced a new priority banking package that basically replaces Citigold.
Was a pretty good week for deals, some have already expired so follow us on Twitter if you’re not already. RadPad is allowing people to pay their rent with a credit card without any fees if you use Android Pay. There is a 50% transfer bonus for American Express Membership Rewards > British Airways Avios transfers and there is a spend $300 receive $50 American Express sync offer for airlines, this can be used with gift card purchases. Finally United is having an award sale with up to 25% off on select round trips.
