Capital One & HotelTonight Partnership – 10% Off Bookings

Update: We wrongly reported that this promo code doesn’t stack with other promo codes, this isn’t the case. This makes this partnership significantly more interesting, especially if you’re able to find another promo code that is lucrative.

Capital One & HotelTonight have announced that Capital One Venture and VentureOne cardholders will receive a 10% discount on HotelTonight purchases through January, 2017. Cardholders need to use the promotional code ‘VENTURE’  and use their Capital One Venture or VentureOne card to receive this instant discount.

This isn’t the first partnership of this type Capital One have developed. They have a similar arrangement with Uber, when that partnership was first announced Capital One quicksilver cardholders received a discount of 21.5% now that the partnership is in it’s second year cardholders receive their 10th ride free (up to $15).

This partnership with HotelTonight isn’t nearly as useful as the Uber discount as a promotional code needs to be used and that excludes you from using any other promotional codes from HotelTonight. I personally don’t find much value in HotelTonight, the app is designed to give deep discounts on last minute hotels but in my experience when I’ve done a price comparison they have actually been the same price or more expensive than other hotels. It’s also usually possible to get a much bigger discount than 10% when using other third party sites (Hotels.com offers a free night after 10 nights and portal cash back for example). If the Venture discount was in addition to other promotions, it would be more valuable but unfortunately this isn’t the case.
