The Fine Print

• Offer ends 12/31/18, subject to change, may be withdrawn any time and may be subject to 1099 reporting.
• Health Savings Account, Estate or Trust accounts ineligible.
• All account holders on the account must be new consumer checking customers.
• You may not have had a checking account within the past 365 days.
• Payroll, pension or government benefits direct deposit required within 90 days of account opening.
• $100 will be credited to new checking account up to 60 days after first direct deposit transaction while account is open. (Personal)
• You may not have had a checking account within the past 365 days.
• $100 credited 30-45 days after open date

Avoiding Fees

All of the Liberty bank checking products are fee free apart from their interest checking product which has a $5 monthly fee if the monthly balance is less than $100. We weren’t able to find any mention of an early account termination fee. There is also a paper statement fee of $2.

Our Verdict

This is a pretty good bonus, especially the business account as it has no requirements. As long as you can change payroll easily then the personal bonus is pretty good as well as there is no worrying about keeping the account fee free.
