Avoiding Fees
The easiest account to keep fee free seems to be the Simply Free Checking account, this has no monthly fees or minimums to worry about. I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so I am not sure if there is any early account termination fee charged or not.
Our Verdict
They briefly had a $250 bonus on offer, but that was quickly removed. Personally don’t think this bonus is worth considering as it’s only for a $100 gift card (doesn’t say what type of gift card, but I imagine a Visa/Mastercard) and you have to open at a branch. Because of that I won’t add it to our list of the best checking bonuses.
