The Offer
- At the moment it’s possible to find round trip flights to most European cities for ~$400. Flights are not restricted to specific airlines, all three of the major airline alliances are showing these prices. The other thing to keep in mind is that these fares are not restricted to a specific travel portal either, so you should be able to use points/offers to book these fares.
Our Verdict
Some deals you might want to consider stacking with:
- [Targeted] AmEx Offer: Spend $500 On Delta Or Partners, Get $100 Back
- Chase Ultimate Rewards points are worth 1.5¢ per point with the Chase Sapphire Reserve (plus you’d trigger the travel credit) or 1.25¢ per point with Chase Sapphire Preferred.
- FlexPerks points are worth up to 2¢ each
- American Express Business Platinum cardholders can get 50% of points back when they book with their selected airline (this won’t trigger the airline credit)
- Citi Prestige cardholders get:
- 1.6¢ per point for American Airline flights
- 1.33¢ per point for all other flights
- Will trigger the $250 airline credit
- Citi Premier cardholders get 1.25¢
I’m sure there are other ways to stack this deal as well, let me know what they are in the comments below. Also let us know what flights you find. You can find more information about this deal on The Flight Deal.
Not sure what this is supposed to say, but something is wrong with this sentence: “Flights are not restricted to online airline and all three of the major airline alliances”
Fixed

WAT?
One little word was left out, as the context makes pretty clear.

Fixed, sorry about that.

Used Flexperks points booked DEN-AMS around trip next early August, the price is $396 each, so 40K points for two, very nice!
Nicely done!
Is the 1.6cents on the prestige on AA metal only?
Nope, any flight that has an AA flight number and can be found on the TY portal.
If you don’t mind transiting through LHR, I’ve seen some incredibly low codeshare cash fares on BA metal. Hard to beat 25k TYP for an RT to Europe.
