Free $10 at Best Buy – Check your Emails

The Offer

Lots and lots of people received an email from Best Buy on Friday offering them a free $10 reward certificate which amounts to $10 off $10 at Best Buy on just about anything.

The subject of the email is “Here’s $10 off any purchase just for you – use by 1/28.”

The Fine Print

  • Code valid through 1/28/17
  • Can be used in-store or online
  • Excludes special order, clearance, open box, refurb, and pre-owned items
  • Excludes Thermador, Viking, JennAir, Miele, DCS and Dacor products in Pacific Sales/Pacific Kitchen and Home locations

Our Verdict

If you got this deal, it could be useful to combine it with $25 off $100 at Best Buy with Visa Checkout, although you’ll have to spend $110 since the $10 won’t count toward the $100 minimum.

Also, you should be able to use these to buy a $10 third-party gift card in a Best Buy store. It probably won’t work online. Another idea would be to get a cheap item like a flash drive.

That’s weird. Got an email but all it said was a reminder to use my certificate which I already have.

The $10 doesn’t count toward the $100 Visa Checkout minimum, meaning: make sure your total is at least $110 before taxes.
