Giftcards.com & Giftcardmall Limit Portal Cashback To $2,000 In Purchases Per Month (Instead Of $60,000)

Update 7/1/20: Affiliates of giftcards.com are receiving e-mails stating the limit has been reduced to $2,000. I expect portals to update in the coming days.

Update 6/30/20: The $2k limit is now live on the portals for Giftcardmall. Most portals still have Giftcards.com with the old $60k limit, as expected. We did notice on Topcashback and Simplybestcoupons they’ve lowered the limit on Giftcards.com to $2k as well which is odd/worrying.

Original Post:

Giftcardmall sent out an email to affiliates about a change that will go into effect on June 29th:

  • The portal will limit rewards to $2,000 in purchases per month. Previously it was $60,000 in purchases.

We wanted to let you know The Terms & Conditions for this program have been changed and now the monthly cap for order revenue has moved from $60K to $2K per individual. If an individual consumer spends more than $2K a month, the additional amounts will be corrected out.

We’ve seen these limits change over time. Usually, Giftcards.com has the same limitations as Giftcardmall, but thus far we’ve only heard mention of Giftcardmall, not Giftcards.com. I’m unsure if the change will be combined across all portals (tracked by your Giftcardmall account) or limited by each portal.

Obviously a huge hit for anyone playing the Giftcardmall game, but again Giftcards.com seems to be holding steady at $60,000/month for now, so there are still options. Presumably, the portals will show this update on the 29th when the change goes into effect. Hit this while you can.

Hat tip to Grant

al613 Have you actually tried buying more than $2000/month/person on either C1 Offers or C1 Shopping?

On the portal website the limit says $2k “per customer.” Does “customer” refer to a portal customer or a GCC customer?

In other words, was the old $60k limit applied to the total of all GCC orders combined from all portals? I’ll assume worst case scenario for now.

captainsave Did you ever find out whether the Giftcards.com limit is per calendar month, or whether one must wait 30 days after spending $2,000?

GiftCards.com now forcing you to register for an account before you can make a purchase. They also brought the $1.99 per card shipping fee back.

GiftCardMall now only sells Visa gc up to $250. This change must have happened very recently.

I’ve only ordered from there a couple of times. I just went to GCC and their fee is $1 more but there is no shipping charge. Am I missing something or is GCC better? Does GCC come with the name also?

Never mind. I see there is the same $1.99 shipping fee per card. At least they still allow up to $500 (for now)

What could have driven them to do something like this? I wish they would have put a limit like $30,000
