I was in Kroger today buying some Groceries and I added this in the krogerapp, bought a $100 VGC, and the promo applied at checkout. May work in-person.
Confirmed working on a variable VGC at Pick ‘n Save.
Can confirm this works in store And on variables up to $500. However, my discount didn’t post to the screen until I hit the pay now button – it had me worried for a second.
IF you are able to use the “save $3.95” on a variable rate card there’s a separate digital coupon for 200 bonus fuel points with the purchase of a variable rate card. Just search “VISA” on the Kroger app and activate any coupons you see (YMMV). I was then allowed to use this variable GC to buy other gift cards like Darden (Olive Garden) which also have. 200 bonus fuel points attached (plus the usual 2X).

I’m not sure how much to trust that qualifying products thing. I also have a coupon for $5 off $25 Zaxby’s that shows no qualifying products.
Need to use a WF 10% grocery offer anyway so gonna give the $500 VGC a shot…
In that instance, though, common sense dictates that there is only one qualifying product – the $25 Zaxby’s GC.

It’s $5 off when you buy any gift card (excluding $10 gift cards) and $10 worth of certain greeting cards.
Turned out to be $5 off purchase of $10 Christmas cards when you buy >$10 gift cards, once I read it over. Maybe
