CommunityAmerica Credit Union is offering the following bonuses when you enter promo code HOLIDAY150.
- Open a checking account and get a $100 bonus when you Maintain the qualifications for cash back for 31 consecutive days
  - Must be enrolled in eStatements, have a monthly direct deposit of at least $250 posted to one deposit-suffix, and a single Checking-suffix must have 15 posted point-of-sale debit card transactions per month, OR the membership account number must be enrolled in eStatements and have a single Checking-suffix with 25 posted point-of-sale debit card transactions per month. Transactions exclude refunds/credits, and ATM transactions
- Open a high interest savings account as well and get a $50 bonus when you complete the following requirements:
  - Deposit $1,000 within 60 days
  - Maintain the qualifications for cash back for 31 consecutive days

Current checking account members do not qualify.
Limit one per person.
Accounts opened at branches or over the phone do not qualify for offer.

Requires new savings and checking relationship with the Credit Union.

Qualifications to receive $100: within 60 days of account opening, the member must maintain the ‘Qualifications for cash back’ requirements for a consecutive 31 days. $100 will be deposited into primary savings account within 30 days of meeting the qualifications.
Qualifications to receive $50: open a High Interest Savings account and reach a balance of $1,000 within 60 days of the new checking account opening, and maintain the ‘Qualifications for cash back’ requirements for a consecutive 31 days. $50 will be deposited into primary savings account within 30 days of meeting the qualifications.
All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Avoiding Fees

All of their accounts have no monthly fee to worry about,you also need to keep the account open for six months or the bonus is forfeit

Our Verdict

So it looks like you either need to do eStatements, direct deposit and 15 debit card transactions per month or eStatements and 25 debit card transactions per month. Seems an extra 10 debit card transactions is worth not having to worry about the direct deposit requirement. Saving bonus looks easy with just a $1,000 deposit requirement. Not really a great deal due to the hard pull unfortunately. Because of that I won’t be adding this to the best checking bonuses.
