Our Verdict
As always we need to find out if this is a hard or soft pull, but it’s a relatively small bonus with a direct deposit required so not that attractive unfortunately.

ConnectOne Bank apparently “hides” the promo online account types with higher rates than their regular accounts.
The Connection Plus Savings account (currently offering 2.65% for between $2500 to up to $24999.99) does not appear on their regular webpages as you search their site. Product ID is 112562.
The Connect Money Market account (currently offering 2% for balances up to $25K and 2.25% for balances over $25K) does not also appear on their regular webpages as you search their site. Product ID is 112506.
In order to bring up the application for these specific type of accounts, you need to replace the Product ID value on the URL link to open an account. Since they do not list the interest rates for these type of accounts, you will have to rely on your online statements or your log in account information.
I found another online division bank connected to ConnectOne bank called Bank Onward (bankwithbo.com) that offers a savings account rate of 1%. There is no mention of the Connection Plus Savings Account nor Connect Money Market account on this site. Whoever set up the bank’s websites made it difficult to find the other online only accounts.
It appears that the Bank Onward site is not accepting new accounts now. I guess they have abandoned updating this website.
I received more information about the Connect Money Market account. It is only available for in-branch visits. The Connection Plus savings account is an invitation only to specific customers, so it is not open to the general public.
William Charles,
I just went to the link and the $100 offer is no longer showing. I called and found out the promo ended, unfortunately.
I have seen branch near Astoria, NY from outside all the time. NYPD cops were heavily guarding a Columbus or similar statue nearby.
Costco Long Island City, NY is nearby. Costco maintains the relaxing East River walk across from Roosevelt Island nearby.
Roosevelt Island used to be called Blackwells Island (owners last name) here is a GREAT MUST WATCH movie about its history:

out of state opportunity?
what counts DD for ConnectOne?
Doesn’t look like you can open in online.
you can actually
Could you elaborate please? I couldn’t find a link to apply online. Thanks!
Just called in, rep said it is in branch only for the checking product.
Speaking as a previous client, ConnectOne is a bank with terrible service.
work around for the DD
