[Targeted] 10% Off Coupon on eBay Reappearing, and New 1.5% Portal on eBay

10% Coupon

We wrote a while back that there’s an eBay 10%-off-anything coupon which many people have been lucky to get. The coupon is literally worth its weight in gold since the typical exclusions don’t apply to it, which means you can buy any gift card at a 10% discount, including they typically-excluded eBay gift card. You can also buy things like bullion for the more adventurous. See [YMMV] 10% Off Any eBay Purchase Including All Gift Cards for more details.

What’s weird about this coupon is that it seems to just pop up in some accounts; they don’t do a good job of telling you about it, which is odd. Perhaps they want to keep eBay more exciting with random pop-up coupons. Whatever. In any case, you have to be on your toes to know that you got the coupon.

Recently, readers and others have noted finding the coupon in their account. Luckily, we noted in the previous post that there’s a link which has been working in the past to find the coupons if you have one. I assume that the link would work for this deal as well (I wasn’t targeted so I don’t know for sure).

If you weren’t targeted, you’ll just see a blank screen.

1.5% on eBay Purchases

We posted recently about some nice gift card deals on eBay (here, here and here). One of the ways to stack these deals is to use a shopping portal to get some extra cashback.

Some have pointed out that recently RebatesBlast and RebateGiant are now offering 1.5%. This can make a difference for large purchases. If you don’t want to use an unfamiliar portal, you can use Topcashback or Befrugal and file a Highest Cashback claim with them, see Highest Cash Back Guarantee for Online Shopping Portals.

Data Point for the Highest Cash Back Guarantee: I was given the extra 0.4% plus the extra 1% added to the cash back (ie $3 cashback becomes $3.03) for both rebategiant.com and rebateblast.com

I just tried it for my 2 transactions. Hopefully it will work. Those 2 sites look exactly the same. Do they also have all of the same rates?

Haha all I got was “$20.00 off your purchase of $100.00 or more in Parts & Accessories, Automotive Tools & Supplies. See conditions.”

I also had a $5 off anything one that I already used last week.

Is there anything to lose by filing the “Highest Cash Back Guarantee”? What I mean is if they determine I was wrong can they lower my cash back?

I was taken to my ordinary My eBay page with no mention of the coupon.
Does that mean I’m not targeted?

Beautiful! Now it’s actually the first time ever that I see a coupon like that in my account and there’s no current deals I could use it for (anymore)…

I take it you’ve maxed out your eBay Bucks? Because this deal stacks with eBay Bucks, making pretty much anything and everything a deal.

Any gc purchase with Upromise credit card is not qualified for cash back bonus, even 1% for card. Before I tried to purchase walmart gc by Upromise Portal and paid with Upromise credit card, and I got nothing about cash back.

I’ve never gotten this coupon. Just out of curiosity is there a limit on how much you can get 10% off and can it be used multiple times?
