Our Verdict
These airline deals come around semi frequently, I usually find them not enough to change my booking habits but they are obviously a great deal if you were planning to spend $1,000 with KLM/AirFrance anyway.

I just purchased a ticket on KLM.com but still got no email confirmation from Amex.
Should be KLM.US I think, but e-mails might be backlogged at the moment anyway.
It’s not immediately obvious from the post, but there are TWO offers, one for KLM, one for Air France. You could get both: 2x20k MR for 2x$1000 spend.
confirmed. I got both offers
Thanks for that, and air france offer seem not to have “flight originating from US” restriction
Seems like 2 round-trip domestic tickets for $500 each on Delta booked through Air France or KLM would qualify, right?
As long as you get it through the KLM site or app I think you’re right. Very sneaky, hadn’t thought of that.
Correct. There was a similar 20k MR points offer for $1k+ on KLM back in November/December. Terms were essentially the same (i.e. flights had to originate in the USA). I needed to book Delta flights from JFK-FCO, so I just did it on KLM’s website (instead of Delta’s) using my Amex Platinum and boom, I earned the 20k MR points (plus 5x points on the airfare). Just one word of warning: if you have free bags on Delta via the Amex Delta Skymiles credit card, they may hassle you a bit at the airport since you technically booked with KLM. I just flashed the Amex Delta card at the Delta counter and got them to honor the free bags.
ooo i never thought of booking Delta on KLM’s site. that’s an excellent strategy.
The website for both KLM and AF show me no flights if I select paid tickets, for any two random domestic airport that have Delta service. I can only find award tickets on Delta for the same routes and dates..
Yes, I found that too. Unfortunate; it would have been a good idea. I tried both the website and the app, which are the only acceptable methods for triggering the bonus points.
Some crazy good new Amex offers showing up. Hilton GC $20 off $100, Staples 10% up tp $100, Lowe’s 10% off up to $100, Dell 10% off up to $1500 etc.
Exon/Mobile 10% off up to $100
On my business cards.
Received this offer on my ED and Plat, and also an identical offer for KLM.
