[Expired] [Targeted] AmEx Offer: WSJwine, Spend $50+ & Receive $50 Statement Credit

Deal has ended, view more WSJwine deals by clicking here.

Update 11/15/22: This is showing up for people again, same end date.

The Offer

No direct link, targeted offer

  • Get a one-time $50 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single purchase of $50 or more online at wsjwine.com/amex by 11/26/22

Our Verdict

It does say you need to go through the amex link, but some reports of it working through a portal as well. You can get 14 bottles for $59.99 + shipping ($20) + tax. Turns out to be free or close to free depending on the portal you use if everything tracks correctly. Portal options found here.

TCB declined my ticket for WSJwine. I sometimes honestly believe TCB runs scam. Arghh

Same here. TCB never tracks and they never pay out when you submit a ticket.

amex offer ends today 11.26.22, is it too late to make a purchase? I was told by WSJ that it will be charge and post on my credit card only when it’s delivery?

Another data point: used TCB on 11/16. Amex offer credit showed up 2-3 days later. Only online purchase email notification – no offer related purchase email notification. On TCB side, WSJwine appeared on my “My visited” list almost immediately but was no longer there when I checked a few days later. Plan to contact TCB after 11/23 (7 days+ after purchase). Hope this helps.

Same here, except for TCB + Amex. TCB tracked, but no alert from Amex that I used an offer a day later.

I’m pretty sure I saw this on P2’s card yesterday and now I can’t seem to find it again.

Got this offer on both P1 and P2, going to attempt to buy a $50 e-giftcard with P1 and stack with P2’s $50 for $100 off!

Yes the GC qualifies for the offer! If you’re in two-player mode, use a different order email address for each purchase or their website gets confused. You can send both GCs to the same address. Next up… I want to see if I can use the GCs to buy their holiday offer of 14 bottles. The screen for that has a credit card field but not a GC field, but before I began, their chat customer service told me I could contact them to use GCs. Will update about that.

TCB site still shows this deal as “pending” for me. Purchase was made Sept. 28, tracked by TCB, and delivered early October, after looking at the TCB terms and conditions, and the vague TCB language: “After a certain number of days, your transaction will normally switch to Confirmed status.”

I’ve held off canceling the next WSJWine delivery, waiting for this to change status at TCB, and have until Dec 20 to cancel, notice my WSJorder order page still shows “dispatched” not delivered or whatever WSJ uses to show an order is complete or delivered. Anyone who used TCB had their status change… or have different WSJ status of their order? I did just email WSJ customer service about the “dispatched language”

Just ordered , used Capital one shopping ( $40 ) and Amex card ( $50) , If everything works, should get mm of 5 bucks. However, just checked Capital one shopping , only saw ” visited trip, nothing more, wondering if it works like Swagbucks, tracking will be available in a few days? Also I didn’t receive Amex email for the cash back confirmation, only email received instantly from Amex is ” your card was not present when making the purchase, but in the past, as I remember, I always received emails when offer was used. Now really worry about if in the end I receive no cash back from either of them, as I didn’t use Amex direct link to order? Anyone placed order on this , please chime in. Thanks a lot.
