This offer is targeted, but there’s at least one conflicting DP which indicates that it may not be targeted (conflicting information from customer service representatives is nothing new; the majority of DPs indicate it is targeted). You should be able to call 1-888-464-0727 (press 2) to check if you are targeted. A customer service representative may also be able to pull up different offers for you.

Our Verdict
Recently there have been targeted offers of $400+, but the last big public offers were in 2014 (apart from this brief public $100 offer). If you’re targeted, this is a very good bonus due to its easy requirements. Do note that these bonuses are once per lifetime! You can’t take advantage of this one if you’re gunning for a $400 offer.

I’m hoping i get the second one in before 60 days.
just got 1099 INT form online
what’s interesting is it only shows the 200$ bonus I got for Money Market, not the 200$ I got for the checking
Any DP’s on what counts for DD at Cap One 360? Santander, USAA??
I was not targeted, received bonus a few days after meeting reqs. Thanks DoC.
Wow, this was AMAZINGLY FAST. I applied online on Tues, Jan 24. Received ATM card on Jan 27. Purchased 4 small items that weekend and on Tues the next week, I had an extra $200 in my account. Now that is some serious free money. Don’t know what the targeting would be. I was NOT specifically targeted. I read about it on this site. I do, however, have 4 Capital One credit cards. My mind is still boggled by how a national bank can do this when you consider how many people it can reach. Hate I didn’t get the chance to tell more friends/family.
I was not target for this offer, so I didn’t think I would get the bonus. Initially opened the account on Jan 12th and did not do anything with it, since I read some DP’s saying you had to be targeted. Anyway fas forward to February, I completed 2 mobile deposits, and 4 debit purchases, I just received the $200 bonus!! This is one of the easiest bonuses to fulfill YAY!!!
Data point for what counts as direct deposit:
Targeted for $400
12/01 Opened account
12/16 ACH push from simple.com (a bank) for $500, which showed as direct deposit
02/07 No bonus up to today. Called Capital One, talked with a manager. She asked if Simple is a mobile app, and I said no, it’s what my employer uses (true, but out of context). The manager said I met the requirements, but had to manually deposit the bonus
Interesting, won’t add this DP as it required manual intervention.
Sure, maybe add simple.com as not working?
Problem is that it might have worked if left, so hard to know.
But bonus usually posts a lot quicker than having to wait more 1.5 months – so I wouldn’t count on simple.com working in the future.
I am trying TIAA – wish me luck!
Opened on 1/17 offer code KK4
1/25 Transfer from Wells Fargo $250
1/30 transfer from Wells Fargo $250
2/1 Cha-Ching! New Account Bonus $200
Were you targeted?
WF did NOT work for me for the $400 promotion in Boston. WF coded as “DDA to DDA,” while my real direct deposit coded as “Payroll.”
Did the payroll trigger the bonus?
I am in the same boat. May I ask has the WF ACH transfer trigger the 400 bonus in the end? Thanks.
so why would DDA to DDA not work? Not sure why this is a data point
Been a CC holder with CapOne for 15 years. Called the # and was told I had no targeted offers for Checking account bonuses.
