[Expired][Targeted] Wyndham Rewards: Stay 1 Night & Earn 10,000 Points (or 6,000, or 3,000)

This offer has expired, never miss another deal again by signing up for notifications.

While Will covered this offer a week ago, I only stumbled across the e-mail yesterday (drawn in, of course, by “This BIG offer is for you”). Having registered for the promotion, here’s a full rundown of the offer.

Wyndham Rewards: Stay 1 Night, Earn 10,000 Points

The Offer

Receive 10,000 (or 6,000, or 3,000) Wyndham Rewards points after registering for the promotion, booking a stay at a Wyndham Rewards hotel by September 30, 2017, and completing a Qualified Stay by October 9, 2017. (See the link for some small exceptions to what counts as a qualified stay.)

If you didn’t get an e-mail, you can check if you’re targeted for one of the offers by logging into your Wyndham account at wyndhamrewards.com; the landing page after logging in is the “My Account” screen, and there is a “My Promotions” box on the right that will indicate your offer and let you register (or indicate the offer is active if you’ve registered).

Wyndham My Promotions

The Fine Print

  • To qualify for the Stay 1, Get 10,000 (or 6,000, or 3,000) Wyndham Rewards bonus points offer (“Bonus Points Offer”), a Wyndham Rewards Member must:
    • (i) receive an email invitation from Wyndham Rewards specific to the Bonus Points Offer (the “Bonus Points Offer Email”); then
    • (ii) complete the one-click registration process for the Bonus Points Offer between June 28, 2017 and September 30, 2017 (the “Registration Period”) by clicking on the “registration” link in the Bonus Points Offer Email or register through the “My Promotions” section of their Wyndham Rewards Member account on wyndhamrewards.com or the Wyndham Rewards mobile app during the Registration Period; and
    • (iii) complete one (1) night during a Qualified Stay at a Participating Hotel, which Qualified Stay has a check-in date between June 28, 2017 and September 30, 2017 and a checkout date no later than October 9, 2017 (an “Offer Qualifying Night”). (Again, see the link for some small exceptions to what counts as a qualified stay.)
  • To emphasize: The Bonus Points Offer is exclusive to Wyndham Rewards Members who receive the Bonus Points Offer Email. The Bonus Points Offer is not transferable and may not be substituted for any other offer.
  • Qualified Stays are subject to certain restrictions and do not include third party online bookings; see the Program Terms for more information about Qualified Stays at Participating Hotels.
  • The 10,000 (or 6,000, or 3,000) Wyndham Rewards bonus points earned by a Member pursuant to these Promotion Terms (the “Bonus”) will usually be posted to such Member’s Member account within two to four weeks following the completion of such Member’s Offer Qualifying Night. (say that 5 times fast!)
  • Completed nights during a Member stay which has a check-in date prior to June 28, 2017, and/or a check-out date after October 9, 2017, will not be counted towards the Bonus Points Offer.
  • Maximum of one (1) Bonus per Member (even if such Member completes more than one (1) Offer Qualifying Night).
  • Wyndham Rewards, Inc. may cancel or modify the Bonus Points Offer without notice. The Bonus Points Offer is subject to full Program Terms in addition to these Promotion Terms, and is void where prohibited.

Useful Promotions

You can combine this promotion with other offers. A full list of promotions is available on Wyndham’s website, but the ones that make the most sense to use are:

Our Verdict

If you were targeted for the 10,000 points promotion, there’s good value in this promotion—if you’ll use the points. The 10,000 points puts you two-thirds of the way towards a free night at any Wyndham property, and it’s likely that the Wyndham Rewards/Total Rewards partnership will soon bring some fresh possibilities. If you can find some ~$50-after-tax rooms at a nearby Wyndham, exchanging that for 66.66% of a free night at any Wyndham is a fine deal.

If you had a Wyndham account as of ~June 27 and are planning any upcoming Wyndham stays within the timeframe of this promotion, you’ll definitely want to log in to check if you’re targeted.

Links!?

As noted in the fine print, this promotion’s bonus points offer is exclusive to your membership account – and Wyndham does enforce it. If you try to register a promotion for which you are not targeted, the following error will appear:

Wyndham Not Targeted

With that covered, I quite appreciate the elegance of the URLs for these 1 night stay offers. The registration link for the 10,000 points bonus is https://www.wyndhamrewards.com/trec/consumer/promoReg.action?promoRuleCode=SUMMER171N10K&variant=. No obfuscation needed: you’re registering for a promotion with promotion code Summer 2017 / 1 Night Stay / 10,000 bonus points. (The 6,000 and 3,000 points offers are 6K and 3K instead of 10K.)

h/t to u/halterm for helping me test the targeting of the links

0 for 2 in our family accounts… (and we both have the card) Bummer x 10. Tried the “elegant” link too. Pink error received.

Liked the Wyndham promos better in the past that went to everyone, not an elect few. Will let them know of our sour disposition towards the elf. Something other than magical.
