Our Verdict

SYWR points are good for Sears/Kmart. Previously they were offering $2 in points, so this is an extra $3 in points. They did have a $4 per ride promotion recently as wellYou might also be able to get an additional $1 cash back per ride with Ibotta. Both should work when using your American Express Platinum credits as well. Using Uber Plus Passes worked to trigger it last time as well.  This should help people to discount their Uber rides.

The terms exclude Uber pool from this promo. But will it work anyway? It is sears after all.

I think the terms of the previous $4 promotion indicated only USA rides would count. We were in Australia and Myanmar and each of our rounds there counted. Total Sears/Kmart move 🙂

Matt

I expect they’ll count too lol 😉

Matt

Confirmed working on Pool. Haven’t tried express pool tho.

Ride posted, only took Pools that day. $5 bonus credit. YMMV, but it appears to work with Pool rides.

that girl wouldnt be smiling if she knew the promo only gave 5 bankruptcy points…

They let you spend the points at store closings and they have a nationwide drop shipping setup for online purchases so they’re still quite attractive to accumulate. It’s a very attractive promo they’ve paid me thousands of dollars for like no reason over the past few months. I’m quite a fan of the rewards program. Sears should really manage it better they could have made SYW a coalition rewards program like Plenti (that sucks less) years ago and then driven traffic to Sears/Kmart with promotions and surprise points. They have most of the building blocks of a great coalition loyalty program they’d just have to be smart enough to make it happen. If they partnered up and get cash flow going into the program and it could be quite rewarding for them as well.

Yeah instead it’s not driving loyalty just being exploited by people willing to put up with their crap so long as they subsidize 50 cents or greater on the dollar. Yup it’s a great business plan 🙂

“Something went wrong!
We’re sorry, we were unable to connect your Uber account.”

Anyone has that issue?

Rare when Guam actually gets specifically included in promotions, but Guam has no Uber? 🙁

the primary US Protectorates count for the promo. I definitely appreciate that but not sure why Saipan is excluded, but eh’ thats the way the cookie crumbles.

great promo if you live in a big city and take a lotta short-haul rides.

SHLD posted a profit last quarter and secured a new line of credit, perhaps there is still life in SYWR yet..

There’s always worked for me with pool rides then shop your way did something to my account where I have one email to login to Kmart and one email for shop your way but it’s all the same account and since then the rides don’t load anymore. Sometimes customer service will do it for me but it really took the fun out of it
