Our Verdict
Last time they offered a $100 bonus there was no requirements and it posted instantly, now there are so many requirements I don’t think this bonus is worth considering. I’d recommend focusing on bigger bonuses or $100 bonuses with less requirements, this one seems like too much work for very little gain.

This one will still be pretty easy. They create your debit card at account opening (so no waiting in the mail) and online/estatement enrollment takes 5-10 minutes. The one issue i had with them last time was that $5 of your opening deposit is part of their “membership fee”, which means it’s unavailable until you close the account and sits in a Savings Account. When I was ready to close, I transferred all funds except for the $5 through ACH and then messaged to close the account. They sent me a $5 cashier’s check, but there wasn’t enough information on it or anything, so I had trouble cashing it at multiple non-Gesa locations.
> $5 of your opening deposit is part of their “membership fee”….
That’s pretty much standard for virtually any credit union.
Yeah, I know that. My only complaint was how much of a hassle that last $5 was to get back, lol.
