Is there a mileage sign-up bonus with the Club card? And if there is, can it be used to two-step around the 24-month interval required between sign-up bonuses with that different Chase product, the Explorer card?

I got the offer to appear but it seems like it doesn’t come with a signup bonus? Is that right? So it’s essentially the Explorer for 50k or this for 0k plus club access?

I think you missed a key word “waived” in the first sentence.

Grammar police out…

Applied this with another Chase CC. The other card got approved with 32K CL. Called reps and was told they had to move CL from other card for United to get approved. But they could not move the card with 32K line. Any idea how long it takes Chase to be able to move line for a newly approved card? Thanks.

When it was $395 you could justify it via the bonus earning if you put $50k spend on it. Now at $450 it gets a little tougher. But it does have a few other benefits: President’s Circle for Hertz. Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum (and thus mlife Gold). Lounge access at any *A lounge — which are all leagues better than any of our usual domestics (see the LH lounges in IAD or DTW for example). And finally it opens you up to upgrades on award tickets.

Still not sure I’d recommend it, but with first year free it’s probably worth a hard pull.

wait…. you can get hyatt gold passport platinum status (the one they are so fickle about matching elsewhere) with this card? thanks for letting us know, AB — I see it on the hyatt web site now. hmmmm….. potentially a compelling perk, for the one year anyway.

ooops, self-correction…. I was reading “platinum,” but thinking “diamond.” (that’s the coveted hyatt status that would be worth something …. to me anyway…. already have “platinum” with the chase hyatt card)
