Generally in the last and first week of a month, all of the increased sign up bonuses are pushed by the card issuers. This week was no difference. First we saw an increased bonus of 50,000 points for the AmEx Business Gold card, then 60,000 points for the Citi Hilton card. This was followed by Chase getting in on the action and making the Chase freedom a $225 bonus instead of the usual $100. American Express then added their 30,000 bonus for their personal & business SPG cards, which usually doesn’t roll around till August.
There was also good news for consumers with MasterCard announcing that starting from October they will extend their zero fraud liability to PIN transactions (both chip & ATM). After pressure from the CFPB the consumer reporting agencies are making some changes to the way they handle credit report disputes.
We also showed you how to save up to 12.5% on your travel purchases with our first password protected post. Make sure you join the mailing list if you haven’t already to keep in touch with these types of posts. There was a $16+ free money opportunity that has now expired that some of you were able to take advantage of and we also showed you how to join the ACC for free.
