American Express Business Green 25,000 Point Bonus

Update 8/1/22: Offer is back (incognito). Not available via referrals, unfortunately. (ht goose_hat)

Update 11/14/19: There is actually a 25,000 point offer (previously 15,000). Need to find it in incognito mode (not sure if it needs to be a referral as well or not). Hat tip to reader David W

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • American Express is offering a sign up bonus of 25,000 points after $3,000 in spend within the first three months on the American Express Business Green card

Card Details

  • Card has $95 annual fee, waived the first year (no longer waived)
  • Card earns the following rates:
    • 2X Membership Rewards points for each dollar you spend on eligible purchases at amextravel.com
    • 1x Membership Rewards point for every eligible dollar you spend elsewhere

Our Verdict

This is the biggest offer we’ve seen on this card before, standard bonus is 5,000 points and we did see a 3x on select categories on up to $50,000 in spend awhile ago. Personally I’d wait for a bigger offer to come along, I think at some stage this card will be refreshed (similar to the personal card) and we will see a bigger launch offer at that date. Because of that I won’t be adding this to our list of the best credit card bonus.

This does not seem to be a very competitive card in any way… especially given that it has an annual fee.

True but this is a great card for P1 to take advantage of P2’s referral promos (like +4x on all spend) especially if you’ve already had the card before since there’s no first year AF (so you don’t incur any upfront cost) and it doesn’t report to personal credit bureaus.

This card would earn my vote for the worst card in existence. I can’t figure out why anybody would pay the $95 annual fee on this card.

Literally reserved for deadbeat churners who’ve burned everything else out and have nothing better left to do.

“worst card in existence” ? Worse than offerings from Credit One, First Premier and Contintal Finance? 🤔

I see this 25K offer via my SO Business Rewards Gold card referral. Went for it and got approved. 50K easy.

@frogger are self-referrals ok? I thought it wasn’t a good idea anymore

Frogger’s comment is from 11/2019. In the year of our lord 2020, self-referrals are definitely not okay

If they raise the bonus they won’t waive the fee the first year so I think this is the best offer.

Historically, how long does Amex keep these biz offers available? I’m still working on another MSR and would like to apply for this in another month.

I think I’d still wait fr this card to be refreshed…the bonus categories are terrible so it’a all about the sign up bonus for this one.

Shows up on Amex SimplyCash referral link — probably roll out to other cards later
