When applying for a credit card, especially a business card, there are often some verifications questions necessary to clear up before getting approved. TwelveBall reports applying for an American Express business card and getting a pending message on the application. Interestingly, on the very same page, there was an option to chat and take care of the verifications right there without having to call in.
Cool new feature, keep an eye out when getting a pending approval message. I don’t know if the chat feature will work for when they are considering whether to approve the application – it’s likely just for situations when verification is needed.
Is Amex live chat gone?
Usually, when you click on HELP, it take you to Customer Support and Help page and just above the Call or Write section of the page, there’s a link for live chat, but when I click on HELP, and the page load, Chat with Us section disappears afte the page loads.
And when you search live chat, it just takes you to a blank page of the Amex website.

Am about to apply for a business platinum via an offer in my email….. will share what happens when I apply.
Also my Aspire card in due 4 renewal in 4 days…. any idea how to get retention offer or renewal fee waived?

When I applied for my first Amex card they wanted pictures of my DL. I wonder if that can also be done over chat now.
Nice! Amex’s online experience + app have gotten better over the past few years. Great to seem them keep at it.
