Our Verdict

For me, all 3 offers are showing on business cards, while on personal cards only the Office offer is showing (oddly, it states ‘business’ there too); this might vary by the person.

Are FedEx offers always available when they’re running? I’m a new cardholder and I can’t see a single offer yet, would like to know for the future.

Worthless offer, the ebay shipping rates with FedEx are around 27% cheaper than my personal FedEx account so this offer is dumb. The last 3 FedEx Amx offers I had were for 40% (July – November), 50% (November – February), and 35% (Marech – May). This offer is a joke.

And also, FedEx ALWAYS either adds an inch or a pound on to the weight. (And I measure my packages fairly and don’t lie.) In fact, one time I dropped my package off at a FedEx office and they double checked my weight and dimensions and said everything was correct and they still added 2 inches on when it was weighed at the sorting center. It is almost like they figure they can get away with it since who is going to complain or notice the extra 60 cents.

I co plerelt agree with you. Last week I went to usps and tried to get a quote on a package to send overseas. They weighed it at 27 ounces. Less than 2 pounds. Usps international shipping was very expensive so I went over to FedEx. They weighed it at 3.1 pounds which would’ve put me at 4 pounds. Ridiculous

You’re right that FedEx default rates are pretty worthless. But if you get an account rep who can negotiate rates for you (we only ship out packages in the low double digits per day), then this deal lowers those prices even further. Short of shipping to PO Boxes, FedEx is even cheaper than priority mail and they have a reward program for free gift cards.

What Fatpigs said, I have negotiated rated with Fedex so this offer makes the rate even sweeter. I wish Amex still ran the 20%, 25% offer they had last year. But hey, 10% is better than nothing.

Worthless for you maybe. But millions of companies use FedEx, and 10% is not an insignificant amount of money if you’re already using them, it’s essentially free money.

Same for me.
