Monthly Fees
The free checking account required has no monthly fees to worry about
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so I’m unsure if there is any early account termination fee.
Our Verdict
Not a huge bonus, but better than the previous $100 deal they have had. The small amount of credit card funding and the fact that there is no monthly fees to worry about is nice. I’ll be adding this to our list of the best checking account bonuses.

I think the 200 promo expired yesterday. No longer showed on the page.
opened back in late Aug, but so far no bonus 150 yet. give it another two weeks, then probably will need to call/write to check on it.
This is currently available as a $200 bonus.
this credit union claimed that when I signed up for a new account there was no bonus going on. filed complaint to cpfb.
anybody churn this?
CC funding, coded as personal purchase
is it enough to get the bonus or I have to set up direct deposit as well? is there a minimum $ amount for cc funding?
applied yesterday and instant approval. cc fund still pending. will report back once they post.
anyone got their bonus yet? ‘was expecting it yesterday. sigh!
No, and it’s now been 66 days since account opening. Fine print says 61 days. Trying to figure out if there was a certain amount that needed to be DD’d.
got my $150 bonus yesterday, 10/09.
fwiw, i sent a secure msg last week asking when the bonus would post. got a reply that a ticket has been placed and will post within 30 days.
I tried to open in branch and was told it’s a hard pull via Experian and Chex systems sensitive
thanks.
hmm i never got any hard pull (instant approval online). i’ll get my free experian report in a week. i’ll update to confirm.
update: no hard pull on my EX report.
Was approved the same day this article went live. Of course they pull Chex; every bank does. But, no hard pull. Don’t believe everything the reps tell you.
I got declined, not sure if it was ChecSystem or not.

I got this message too. I went into a branch and it turns out all they needed was a 2nd form of ID. However, they said it was a hard pull so I didn’t proceed.
Hard pull = no go.
