The Fine Print
- Referred member must not have been an owner of a Space Age loan, credit card, checking or savings account in the past. Youth memberships are not eligible, and you must be at least 18 years old to receive a referral incentive. If the referring member is a Joint or beneficiary, they do not qualify for the referral initiative. New member must join and open a loan, credit card, or checking account with recurring payroll direct deposit(s) totaling at least $500 and posting within 60-days of account opening to qualify. Member and referred member will receive their referral incentive after the 60-day period. Referred member must provide the name of the member that referred them when opening their account with Space Age. The referral incentive of $50.00 is deemed a bonus and may be reported on 1099-INT as interest income. Maximum amount in referral incentives for a member is $500 per calendar year. Limited time offer and subject to change at any time.

Chuck accidentally combined two separate bonus requirements together.

All the referred person needs to do is one of the following:
Open a checking account and have $500 in recurring payroll direct deposits within 60 days
Open a credit card
Open a loan of any kind
After your referral meets the qualifications, you’ll both receive an email with your reward offer.
Refer a local business and get $100!
You’ll earn $100** when you refer a local business to Space Age Federal Credit Union! All they need to do is join and open a business checking account and a minimum of five (5) transactions. After the account is open and the five (5) transactions have been completed, we’ll mail a $100 VISA Gift Card to you.”
This is a $50/$50 referrer/referee bonus. The business referral bonus is a totally separate bonus where only the referrer gets a $100 bonus and likely isn’t applicable for most of us on DoC.
Do we know if the referred person gets $100? The terms aren’t clear.
