Avoiding Fees
There are no fees to with this account.
Discover does not have any minimum balance requirement, and you can withdraw all the funds after opening the account and fulfilling the $15,000/$20,000 deposit requirement. You do obviously need to keep the account open until the bonus posts.
Our Verdict
Discover is also offering the same bonus when you apply for the account with them directly. This is not the first time they have offered a bonus on the AAA savings account and people have successfully gotten the bonus from the Discover savings and this AAA discover savings bonus before as well. I don’t think the order matters, but I’d probably do the regular Discover savings account first and then this AAA account.
This is a great deal if you have $15,000/$20,000 as there is no minimum deposit length so you can deposit the $15,000/$20,000 and then immediately withdraw it. In the past the bonus has posted 5-15 days after the deposited has been received. Some people might want to keep funds in the account as they do offer a 1.15% APY, but there are higher interest savings accounts available. We will be adding this to our list of the best saving account bonuses.
