Headsup: Automatic Product Changes on Bank of America MLB Cards Come With $200 Spend Bonus

Just a quick headsup: many people are getting their old Bank of America MLB cards automatically product changed to become the Bank of America Unlimited Cash Rewards card. A lot of people are tossing the paperwork without noticing that there’s actually a sweet spend offer included there with $200 cash back after $1,000 spend.

I’m unsure if all of these product changes got the spend offer or it’s targeted, but keep an eye out.

Didn’t receive new card yet but called in to check status of card & bonus offer, the rep confirmed the offer is attached to card & I am already half way through using my existing card until I get new one can continue to spend on this to meet requirement.

I got converted to the Unlimited CR card and did not get this offer. I actually called BofA today (prior to seeing this post) to try to convert the card to a CCR and the rep said that he was unable to submit a product change for the card and said it was likely because it was newly converted. He suggested that I call back in a month.

Similar DP: Converted Cash Rewards to Travel Rewards and got $250 (25k points) for $1000 spend offer. Haven’t used the card in 10+ years but its one of my oldest. Just needed Travel Rewards as backup chip+pin card for international travel.

I was not targeted for this offer.

For you people that were targeted, did you come close to maximizing the 3% categories last quarter on the card(s)?

That’s great! I never would have noticed the $200. Mine says “after making purchases totaling $1000 between now and July 15, 2022”. It is a printed flyer so many people must have the same end date.

Got the offer flyer in 1 out of 2 of my replacement cards. Called BOA to confirm and my rep said that the offer applies to ALL of the MLB cards so both of them should qualify.

I got a different response where a rep said it was 1 per person and 1 out of 2 of my cards did not have the offer.

We got zero offers for 3 cards between 2 people. Might try the spend anyway, as we’d still be using the cards.

Received 1 out of 2 in the mail. Completed 1k spend for both, pop-up in the BofA app showed up after completing the first one, no pop-up for the second.

Received only one $200 for the first acct, nothing for second

Did they mean that you can put the spending on any of your cards, but you would get one $200 bonus (some BofA offers work like that)? Or did they say each card could get its own $200 bonus?
