Avoiding Fees

Monthly Fees

The classic checking account has no monthly fees to worry about.

Early Account Termination Fee

According to the fee schedule there is no early account termination fee.

Our Verdict

Last year they offered a bonus of $123 but with the same requirements. This $200 bonus is obviously better. I will be adding this to the best checking bonuses as the requirements are fairly easy to meet and you can fund a nice amount with a credit card as well.

What counts as a dd with this bank? I did limited research on this bank and there is not alot of info. I’m doing several bank promos that might count for a dd
I’m doing a usbank cash promo. Will this credit card funding count as a purchase and push me over my spending threshold?

Tried to sign up and use my usbank cash cc and it did not go through. Switched to a bank transfer to fund account and it timed out

Once the checking account is opened, you can go back and open a savings and money market online (do on separate transactions) and fund each with $5000 as well. This is an easy $15k in credit card spending.

Also, when I did this bonus last year, Amazon reloads worked for the debit requirement.

That’s amazing. Too bad it’s not really KS and MO it’s select counties in each of those states.

Need to correct this. You open the savings & checking at the same time, but can still fund $5k each, so $10k in one shot.

A customer service rep told me that I’m not eligible for the bonus (or anyone) since I’ve had a checking account in the past. I haven’t had one in probably six months. I’m going to try a different branch.

I’m not so sure about that. The terms from their website state:

“Valid for new Members and current Members without a checking account.”

If you don’t have any current accounts, you should qualify as a new member. If they claim you are a current member because you had accounts in the past, then you should qualify as a current member without a checking account.

There’s nothing that says previous members don’t qualify or someone who previously got a bonus doesn’t qualify, so I think you’d have a chance.

Does anyone know if Uber and Lyft deposits work? They show up as “Visa Direct” when I get paid out.

No data points – there is limited info on what counts as a direct deposit. I’m going with ally and 360

Can this promo be opened in person at a branch?

Did you read the terms on their website?

Funded checking and savings $5,000 each with CSR; currently showing $10,000 pending charge on Chase and I have cash advance limit set to $100. It went thru on Mazuma and they will reach out soon to finalize account setup.

Citi DC also works. Funded 5k each account with cash advance limit set to 0.

I funded $5k each savings and checking with Citi DC with no issue; however, having a heck of a time paying Citi DC back using Mazuma.

8/6 – opened checking + savings w/ $5,000 each on CSR
8/16 – $10 DD from employer
8/16-8/19 – 20 debit card transactions
8/22 – bonus posted
8/22 – opened money market account w/ $5,000 on CFU

Have had a bill pay marked as fraud and external transfers were shut down, but think it’s resolved now; you can only transfer out $2,500 (push or pull) at a time, which takes about 5 days to clear before you can start the next one. Worst case, I’ll go to branch and withdraw in person.

Anyone do any research on how much the minium purchase for the 20 debit card purchases have to be for?

Yes, of course. You could too, but your multiple posts on this page alone indicate you are unwilling to do any work whatsoever and just want answers handed to you, so I’m not going to answer your question.
