Last Day For Chase United Increased Bonuses Of Up To 70,000 Miles + $50

Chase has been offering increased bonuses on their United Explorer card. Today is the last day to apply for these cards, the best offer is as follows:

The Offer

Direct link to offer (requires you to log in), this link might also work

  • 70,000 Bonus Miles after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months your account is open. Plus, earn a $50 Statement Credit after your first purchase
  • If you don’t see the offer with the $50 statement credit, create a dummy booking on United and it’ll show up

Our Verdict

Problem is that the 5/24 rule applies to this card, as mentioned yesterday it is possible to get an in branch pre-approval for this card and this bypasses 5/24. The problem is that those offers are only for 50,000 miles + $50 and I’m unsure if it’s possible to get matched to these higher online bonuses or not (please let us know if you try in the comments). If you’re thinking of applying, make sure you read these things you should know about Chase first.

Clicked both links provided here but can not find out the “apply by” date. Not sure exactly how to check the expiration date. Any guidance?

I received a mailer on the 50k offer, my wife on the 70k. She is over 5/24, I am not. Long story short they refused to match to 70k on my approval. Think I should try em again? They denied me via secure message, maybe a call?

Only seem to be getting 50k points + $50 credit. Do I need to pay for the dummy booking and then cancel to get it to show up?

Thanks. I’m still seeing the 50k points + 50 credit option popping up today. Maybe it hasn’t expired?

I got an email from them on 7 March for the 70K offer.

On this email, I have “Apply by March 31, 2017.”

Do you think that I am safe to get 70K + $50 until that date? I can see a 70K + $50 offer today, after a dummy booking, but I’d like to wait until at least tomorrow to apply. The email was also only for a 70K offer WITHOUT statement credit.

My experience FWIW:

I was approved for 50K offer last month. I read this article and logged in to check and seems I was targeted.
Called chase to see if they will match the 70K bonus. The answer was : If I received an email or mail with the offer code, they can match. If it is a pop up, and even if my mileageplus account is targeted, I wont get the bonus match

Eligible for both personal and biz versions based on 24 month rule, but can’t pull the trigger because of 5/24, and won’t be near a Chase branch until Friday 🙁 I actually have the 70k offer pulled up on my screen right now, just taunting me! Arghh!

My 70k offer is good until 3/31/17, but I also didn’t receive it until 3/7/17, so there are at least two rounds of these out there.
